protein question

Post by SSALVAS »

Hi everyone

I'm new here. First of all sorry for English, I am studying it so..ok, to the point ;)

I am running out of maximuxcle prograin extreme (2kg) I only used it the days when I worked out before going to bed. So 2-3 times per week, 400ml of water with 120ml of the powder. Somedays I drunk it after working out in the gym because I thought it was the best moment.

But now, I have just read the label of the new powder I bought: nutrisport 90+ protein and it says that it's recommended to drink 2 scoops before going to sleep, and another serve (2 scoops) in the morning, just when wake up.

I read here that the only moment right to drink protein powder is after working out, I was agree, but it is just the contrary that the label says, and they are the guys who is suppose that know about this stuff as the created that formula specifically.

So, what do you think? I have no clue what to do when I start this new powder. I am confused :S

Thanks and congratulations for this website.

Take it after workouts. You can take it before bed to protect muscle gains, but it's not vital, so if you don't want to use it to often, just take some after a workout.

THANK YOU BOSS! :)

Today I had 2 toast bread with butter, 1/4 can of tuna (very little) and an apple. after 10 min, a powder shake of protein

and after 30 min (it is what taket to me to go to the gym walking) lifting weight for 1 hour and a quarter. just after working out another scoop of protein.

Is it a good start?

After, in way home (after 30-40 min of working out) a small banana. 20 min more, and it is 14:40 pm: vegetable soup with 5 slices of lamb and pitta bread (2 items).

At 16:45 pm 2 pita bread with 1/3 tuna can, and 6 peanuts (removing the shield of course-I was not that hungry)

I am thinking about a can of bean salad for dinner and a cottage cheese before bed..

I will be reading here to learn more, if you have any suggestions they are very welcome.

Bye!!

Cheers
Tomorrow I have 1 hour of exerciseboxing. Weird name. In this training we do circuits and boxing sometimes. Is it recommended to drink a shake before and after workout? It is at 6:20 pm

Before and after seems like alot just stick to after. If your going to drink some before and after I would say only use one scoop.

You really have to take into account that the label is printed by the company selling the product. the faster you use it the faster you need to buy more! always consult a non-bias third party. Perhaps a dietician or doctor.

All you're doing is Boxercise. I've done it loads of times before and it's not a trademarked name, so if your gym is using some goofball description of it, that's their problem
