Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum and shapefit.com (which is fantastic). I wanted to introduce myself quick so I can soon jump on board with the regular site users. name is Maria and I'm from Syracuse, New York. I'm 21 years old and i'm a full time college student. I'll graduate in May with a BS in Public health and a minor in nutrition. weight has bounced around when I was younger, but then 2 years ago, I was the fittest I've ever been. I was on the women's rowing team and it got me into serious shape. I couldn't stay on the team anymore because grades started to suffer, so between no more practice, a new room mate and new apartment at school, AND fiance going to school in Pennsylvania for the first time...i was lonely, miserable and an emotional eater to say the least. I went from a solid 120 pounds up to about 180 in the course of a year. This past summer i started to get weight back under control and i've been keeping up with it ever since. I'm now at 135 and goal is to get back down to 115-120...where I was before. I know i'm on the right track because it's been a gradual process and i've adopted a healthier lifestlye with lots of wholesome foods and regular exercise.
I hope i get to meet lots of you so we can share information and tips so we can all better ourselves
