Ok if it were natural the ingredients would be peanuts and sometimes salt. Next time you buy it look at the ingredients and try to find some without the hydroginated oil and sugar.

Oh okay! I'll keep that in mind. I don't eat it much, if at all (twice so far...) So I don't think it will have a lot of negative effects, because the bottle is small. Next time I'll check that!

I found this link

http://www.dietfacts.com/html/nutrition ... -36879.htm

I truly doubt the whole caesar salad is about that much with the dressing? Does that sound reasonable? does anybody ever eat that salad from UNO's before?

If 1 cup as they give for take away of dressing...and it has ONLY 450 cals in total as a meal...this is lucky day! LOL...

I tend to eat this salad...maybe...twice a month or so...It really depends on the "opportunity" as they only have this restaurant in two places.

I know a lot of people advice to dip the lettuce instead of having it...but I love salad being "Watery with dressing..." Like one of the managers said to me "it will be like soup"...I literally like it that way...

I can't access that site for some reason. The dressing itself has 450 calories? Yikes. Oh man having salad that is "watery with dressing" really grosses me out. I would rather go without dressing all together than have it drenched in the stuff. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. :)

No, it's the salad in total..

The dressing is this (if u can access)

http://www.dietfacts.com/html/nutrition ... -36895.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The dressing is 100% tran fat free, and it about (according to them) alone..is 280. Does that make sense? Lettuce and grilled chicken breast to be about 250 in total? w/o dressing.

Lol, I like to have a "watery" salad only with this particular dressing, because it tastses so good, unlike ANY other dressings I've ever had....

That salad doesn't look too bad if you're having it a couple times a month. I wouldn't advise having all that dressing every day but every so often isn't terrible. :)

Of course, I have Caesar Salad (from anywhere)...about 3-5 times a months, because I know it has a lot of calories in it ( from the dressing ), but I was very bad yesterday because instead of having popcorn as planned, I had nachos, because I didn't have that in over 2-3 months, because I started gaining weigh from it as I over ate it...so I craved that, too....agh... cravings are bad at certain days....

18-Dec-09

Okay, I had pretty much semi-good meals today, except for very last. I gained more than 1 KG according to the scale, but I look the same, and it's weird why I gained so much (since morning), but I'm still as the same weight as the mornings. VERY strange. But then again I had a lot of crap yesterday, but common from 53.5 to 54.8? Non-sense, right?

Meal one: Scrambled eggs, All Bran flakes, coffee

Meal two: Grilled chicken, with white rice, and some veggies and a little bit of lemon juice

Meal 3: Popcorn and Sprite

Meal 4: Grilled chicken 5inch sandwich, with very little mayo ( u can't even taste it), little mozeralla cheese and lettuce w/ diet pepsi

Meal 5: More like an indulgence....2 scoops of Baskin Robins ice cream...

I was "steady" active for one hour today, as in walking for one hour around the mall...and done little exercises on the side link jumping jacks, step ups w/o weight tho, running in place....etc.

I feel like I'm slipping up too much...I am not going to stop exercising and working hard on it, but I slip up so easily....=(

Yikes..I didn't get the chance to write yesterday's meals...

But here are todays:

20-dec-09

9:30 Special K Protein Plus w/green tea

10:20-11:00 Weight lifting...

11:00 Protein shake, 20 minutes later, 1 red apple

12:00 Subway sandwich, with Roasted chicken, 4 pieces of pepperoni, olives, lettuce w/mustard in a brown bread with lemon juice

I have a very busy day ahead, and couldn't "wait between meals" Because I was free from 9-12 only..as of now (1 p.m. until 4:30)...I'm booked with work...but I'll find a few minutes to have some peanuts and orange juice.

Okay I obviously skipped a few things back there.

CLEAN SLATE!

-----------------

23rd of Dec

Meal one: 9:00 a.m., Special K Protein Plus, Green Tea, Water

I obviously did not have enough food for meal one.

Meal two: 10:15 a.m., 1 Alpen bar (70cals), 15grams of peanuts, coffee (Achievement: I'd usually on this day (Wed) would buy 2 mini munchkins from dunkin' Donuts.

Meal three: 1:15-1:45p.m. Pita bread, with grilled chicken, lettuce, pickles and garlic sauce (not a lot!). I know A lot of garlic sauce is bad, but I have it around once every 1-2 weeks. w/diet coke. (Achivement: I refused to get the 200 extra cals fries).

Around 5 p.m.: Cardio day. About 10 minutes boxing, another 10 minute elliptical. It may not be the most effective? I don't now. But I don't like to keep punching for long, nor I like to keep doing elliptical for long. I started feeling sick during the exercises. I also did about 40 reps using Resistance rings on different exercises. I am not sure if it equals to "weight lifting?".

At 5:45 p.m.: Protein shake, Granola bar.

Dinner coming up soon:

8ish: I would have 1 scrambled egg, 1 slice of brown bread cut in half with turkey and non-fat cottage cheese, Green tea, and maybe......1 slice or rice cake with low fat labneh on top of it. ( I don't know if this is a lot for one meal?)

Today eating was a bit bad in timing. Damn those early exams!

6:45: Special K w low fat milk, green tea

9:30: Alpen Cereal bar, low fat yogurt and peanuts, 100% orange juice.

Went to the gym around 10:30, strength training workout

11:15: Protein Shake

I left uni to the mall and I was SUPER hungry.

12:45: Grilled Chicken ( a bit too much, I had about 1/2 a chicken. No lies! then again, I am protein deficient and I know I don't get enough protein throughout the day.), I had it with hummus instead of garlic sauce, and VERY little fries. Like no more than 10 pieces, really. W some pickles and 7 up. Is 7 up considered as bad as the others? I hear it's "better."

After that............................I started feeling very dizzy 2 hrs later, because I haven't had slept at all last night. So when I got home I crashed in bed from 4-8. I know, I didn't eat food for a very long time, but I think lunch was pretty heavy.

At 8: 1 Granola bar, eggs, and green tea

Now, 11, I will have 1 turkey sandwich with non-fat cottage cheese and 1 roll-ups candy. It's low fat and 50 cals only.

Okay, so bad "snacks" for the day were

10 pieces of fries
7 up (only half of the can..I can never drink it at all, anyway)
roll-ups candy
----------------------
I doubt this is more than 150-200 cals?

And everything else came from healthy sources, right?

Of course, I am having water. I'm drinking too much, I need a trip to the restroom every hour!

I don't know why I find it hard to keep a journal of what I've eaten. I need like a reminder daily that says : write what you are today!

I've been pretty 80% clean in diet the past few weeks. Ate a lot less junk, controlled eatings, carve less bad stuff...

12:00 p.m. (yup woke up at 11:30, just trying to enjoy vacation as it lasts)
- Special K protein plus w/ low fat milk
- 1 scrambled egg, with low-fat halloumi cheese
- Green tea

2:30 p.m.
- Grilled chicken breast
- Litte white rice
- Veggies (corn, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower)
- less than 100ml of lemon juice

5:00 p.m.
- 2 cups of American Garden Light popcorn
- Ya ya, I suck... mother bought me Rainbow from Baskin Robbins yesterday, and didn't eat it at night..so I had half a baseball (in terms of portion) Like what 100 cals?
- 10grams of protein shake

6:00-7:00 Weights followed by 25grams of protein shake, and 1 low fat granola chocolate chip bar

8:00 p.m.
- Hummus
- 2 long thin slices of toasted turkey (I think about 25gram of protein, I dunno), with mustard, lettuce, non-fat cottage cheese with normal white bread.
I could had brown slices, but didn't feel like it. I always eat brown, and wanted something a little different so that I don't get bored.

That's it so far. I'd probably need another meal around 11ish...because I sleep at 2. Most likely it will be 1 or 2 rice cakes with peanut butter, w/ 10 grams of protein shake.

You don't suck silly. You've been working hard and you deserved the treat!

Regarding having a hard time keeping the journal.. I take journal with me EVERYWHERE I go (its in purse) so that i can write down food as i eat it. I don't let myself eat anything that doesn't go in journal. This may be a bit extreme for you but it does work.

aww thanks, actually I couldn't even finish it and gave it to sister! =P

Yeah that might be a bit extreme to not allow myself to eat anything not mentioned in the journal. I have an overall idea of what to eat in every meal or when I go out and stuff so I don't screw up a lot or often. But I gave up long time ago on writing journals in general. If you ask me what I will eat one week from now while I'm in uni...I'd probably have a list and could mention it...you know. I always decide what I will eat before I do at least few hours before, but I don't like to sit and plan a whole week of what I will eat. I think it's too restrictive. I ma being somewhat strict with myself, but not too hard, either.

Actually on the weekend I had MacDonald for the first time in 3-4 weeks...not because I craved it. That would be the worse time for me to eat it...I ate it because I didn't want to crave it and over-eat it. So I was like, what the heck...I'll have it today. and it didn't affect weight, or anything...why because if you ask me to eat mac now...I would say no. 1) I'm not hungry. 2) I don't crave it. 3) I just had it a few days ago.

I think it's best to eat your "cheat" meal/junk food is when you least crave it. I don't know why, but when I crave things I over eat them. When I don't. I eat them in moderation. That what works for me.

12 p.m. Special K protein Plus w/low fat milk, 1 brown slice with 2 tbs of peanut butter, 1 egg, green tea. About 400 cals. I believe. I heard that having a breakfast with a bit higher calorie is good? (Finished eating around 12:20)

3 p.m. White boiled rice (about a cup), with grilled chicken (about a palm size), 4 thin slices of potato, and 100 ml of lemon juice. I would guess about (400 cals) (Finished about 3:30)

It's currently 3:48 p.m.

By 5 p.m. I will have a fruit (pear), followed by half a brown bread slice w/ smoked turkey and cottage cheese. (About 300 cals?)

6:15-7:30 (Cardio + Abs) w/protein shake and a Granola bar or Yogurt (200 cals)

8 p.m.....still undecided. Either Turkey, whole wheat pasta, eggs, hummus, corn...something within that range.....(Probably about 400 cals here)
Actually had whole wheat pasta, with 1 tbs of cream sauce w/plenty of grilled chicken, half a mini-plate of hummus, veggies: corn and broccoli , and 1 cheese stick by itself.

11 p.m. Probably another Protein shake w/ 1 rice cake and PB (Around 300 cals)

Okay that's about 2,000 ...Damn, where can I add another 200? Should it be protein + carbs, Protein + fat...? OR is it enough what I'm eating?

Ah....counting sucks! Is counting even correct in the overall meals?
