I am getting hip surgery on February 17th. I have some exercises that physio gave me, and thats the only exercise I can do. Most are core and quad strengthening exercises. I can do some upper body stuff too.
Anywho, I need to get as healthy as possible before the surgery. What foods are best for bone and cartilage health? I'm already taking Glucosamine chondroitin tablets that surgeon gave me. I just need to know what else can maybe prepare me for surgery?
Thanks
Foods/vitamins for bone and cartilage health??

Too add ot what has already been written, Calcium is also available in some if not all Nuts. Also in Soy products, not just Tofu.
Things like Rice, Legumes and Fish should help give you Magnesium.
Also things like Mushrooms, Pork, Liver, Shellfish, Legumes and potentially Veggies and Whole-grain should help with Copper. As Copper helps with the way Cartilage gets in into Bones, it's a good thing to have.
Vit D and K2 occur in most sources of Healthy Fat, so that's not hard.
You could also use Hylauronic Acid supps, as it's a component of Cartilage and Vit C as Vit C helps produce Collagen or Skin, bones and teeth.
Vit C can be taken in 500mg- 1g doses 1-2 times a day. If it's not quite right, try buffered if you have any issues.
