Well done, and forget the comments. If they can't properly understand your achievements or don't want to, it's not worth trying to make or persuade them.

Unless you were well built and on steroids, 170lbs would still be a little weighty, so yes room for improvement, but in your case there's no reason why it can't happen :).

New Goal: 159 by April. Weights 3X a week, Cardio 2X, Karate 4X, HIIT 2X
I am going to get diet under control. Love working out, love eating too. I have to work on the self control for eating right. I am fine when the bad food is not around, but when it is there, I am like a junkie. It is a sugar thing.
Not a new year resolution, a today resolution. :D

I am SO with you on that girl. I do really well, then all it takes is one sweet thing (mainly chocolate) and off I go - it is a very real battle to regain control.
I have no doubt you will reach 159 by April, probably before. Keep working hard, take it one day at a time, stay focused - you will do it :D

I've been stuck at almost the same weight as you - goal is to get to 160 - Currently fluctuating between 167-169, at 5' 6 1/2 ". These last 10-20 lbs are the hardest to get rid of! I know we can do it - need to tweak our food intake - and the holidays are the hardest time! I too do just fine when there's no junk around, but it's soooo hard to pass by those damn sugar cookies ALL the time! Regardless, you have so much to be proud of - there is no doubt in mind that you will be successful in this new goal! Don't forget, I want to know where your next fight is going to take place.

Have a great holiday!

I wish it were just sugar cookies. Seems like everywhere I go, there is cheesecake!

We'll all get back to normal come January - let's don't fall off the wagon - just take a bit of a detour then back on track. We can do it - we've worked too hard and WE ARE WORTH IT! :)

This morning was weights for 35 minutes or so. Tonight I helped in the kids class. It was fun day, so we did an obstacle course and then dodge ball. I love hitting children with objects. After I did kickboxing for an hour. I ate well all day even though there is a swiss roll in the fridge yelling for me. The kids have been asking me for it and I almost told them to eat it, just so it will stop calling me. But it is for christmas, so I'll wait. I also am trying to cut down the coffee and tea. I drink it all day long and I am sure those extra calories aren't helping me lose weight. I had 2 cups of coffee and one chai.

Good idea on the Coffee and Tea. For one things the Caffeine and Tannic Acid can interfere with Iron absorbtion, plus the Caffeine can have it's Xanthine content converted to Uric Acid, which could increase Gout promotion.

I have survived christmas and didn't gain anything W00T! but I didn't lose anything. Wound up having manufactured pie from the grocery because the fridge broke, spoiled the pumpkin I had baked a couple months ago, but luckily we live in Maine. Everything goes into a cooler and on to the back porch. The cooler seems to keep everything from freezing overnight. I have a deep freezer in the celler. I used to love those grocery store pies. I thought it was gross. The kids complained it wasn't as good either (but ate it anyway). I think I spoiled them with homecooking. To make up for the nasty pie, I took some pumpkin from the deep freezer and made pumpkin bread pudding. I thought I could make it into a meal by adding a scoop of unflavored protein powder. 1/4 of the entire pudding was 330 calories and 20 g protein. It was okay, but does taste better without the protein.

I started that http://hundredpushups.com/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; 100push-ups, sit-ups and squats program for addition to cardio days (still doing weight training on other days). I started push-up and sit-ups at week 1 level 3 and squats on week 3 level 3. I am finished with the first week and moving on. These are the three exersices for phyiscal fitness I need to do for belt tests. I have to do the push-ups on knuckles. I hate that. I can do push-ups all day on hands but only 16 on knuckles before I have to stop, knuckles hurt too much.

goal for this week is to do exersice when I wake up, which is always before the kids do. I always wake up have some coffee, wash dishes blah, blah, then around 8ish I go do workout. If I went down when I got up intead, there will be less of a chance of getting interrupted. I have cut more sessions short than I care to remember.

I have been up at 6AM every moring to do workouts. I like it better this way. I get workout done, I am in the shower while the coffee brews, and the kids are still asleep while I enjoy only cup of coffee for the day. I am drinking more tea than coffee. I used to drink coffee all day, now I am having a few cups of tea through out the day. Sometimes it is just to warm -up because it has gotten awful cold here. It was -15 last night with the wind chill. The heater was on all night. I think tea is better for you than coffee from some of the things I have read. I am not letting it steep for too long either to reduce the caffeine. One step at a time, then I will break the caffeine addition.

I havn't been to the dojo all week. We have been having an awful month with stuff breaking. First car's engine blew the head gasket. Not worth fixing because it is a 20 year old car. Then the fridge broke, at least it is cold enough outside. The other day husband's truck, our last transportation, wouldn't start. So funny to watch an entire family pushing the truck out of the yard while I try to pop the clutch to get it running to go to the shop. Today we got the new starter installed. But tonight was the last night the dojo is open until Monday because of New Years. Funny how cars and truck wait to break for winter to set in. Never had a problem all summer long.

it is the new year and today I did something I have been putting off. pictures. OMG i should have done them sooner. Now, mind you, this before picture is still 20 pounds lighter than heaviest. I was too ashamed to do them at 239. This is me at 220 and 174. Thank you people of shapefit for helping me get into shape. 65 pounds down 35 to go W00T! I feel like I can be a before and after in one of those magazine ads. Can you see it now, I am standing there holding a dumbbell saying 'this is how you do it', with a trash bin full of fat burner bottles!
