What healthy food should you buy?

Post by price »

Going to the supermarket is actually a little hard for people who want to be healthy. There are tons of delicious foods that can be acquired there and most of them are harmful for your health; chocolates, ice-cream, cookies, cereals; all stuff that will make you gain weight immediately. There is a variety of food which is healthy and delicious at the same time and that you should include in your daily diet:
• Vegetables and fruits: it is very important that you acquire these products since it is the essential part of a healthy diet.
• Whole grain products
• Fish, poultry and lean meats: these are the types of meats that you should be acquiring since are the healthiest for you. Avoid breaded and fried meats.
• Legumes eggs and nuts are some other proteins that are good for your body; try to acquire them as well.
• Drinks: try to drink water as much as you can, you can also buy low fat milk and herbal teas. If you are the soda type of person it’s either try to avoid them as much as you can or get the light ones.
• Frozen products: Choose the ones which are healthy; vegetable portions, protein and make sure you are not acquiring a high fat frozen meal.
• Condiments, oil and dressings: I would give two descriptions for these: they are sources of refined sugar and poor quality oils.
• Desserts: just because some products are low fat doesn’t mean they are not good desserts. Try getting fresh fruits and some healthy nuts. There is light ice-cream as well in case you are an ice cream lover.

Seriously no offence, but what rubbish. Cereal makes you gain weight immediately. Yet you promoted Whole-grains as good. A lot of Cereals are whole-grains. Also it depends on how much of these things you eat and how active you are. What if a marathon runner ate about 50g of Chcolate once every 2 months, think their going to bloat?

Even people on weight loss regimes could eat things Ice-cream if they were careful and very infrequent about it.

I'm not advocating Chcocolate Ice-cream and Cookies, but I'm advocating the non-use of blatently over exaggerated claims.

Well Lareina that is a good question. We may have to check ourselves in to one of those drug centers down south and hang out in there for a few weeks until we get all the sugar out of our systems. The first 2 weeks are HELL when it comes to getting all the sugar of your system. After that it gets much easier.

what is worse?

Binging on junk food all at once (like in a period of time)

Or having it every now and then?

Binging.

You'll potentially feel bloated, possibly actually be sick, maybe get stomach cramps and nausea.

Definitely binging on junk is worse than occasional eating of it.

I actually find that one of the worst things for a diet is completely denying yourself things. One of the things I have learned is everything in moderation. If you say to yourself, "I can't have sweets, chips, and anything fried", you are most likely to binge on those things. If you say to yourself, "I can have one cookie, or. One serving of chips" then you have allowed yourself to enjoy something bad, but not overeat. That's how aunt lost 150lbs. She ate on her diet 6 days of the week, and every friday she would allow herself a couple of naughty foods. Its prob one of the best ways to keep weight off without being miserable! I would hate it if i couldn't have the occasional bowl of triple fudge ice cream!

That works providing in the instance described, the person uses a set day to do that.

People who are more likely to sneak certain foods, at random times of the day and random days, will probably be more likely to develop bad habits, as they don't give themselves a set moment in the week to do it.
