well, the nutritional value says:
1g sugar
1g fat
i forgot the calories .. below 400 though
and 21G OF PROTIEN.
the gym owner told me there is no negative repurcusions, but others advise me otherwise.
he told me that the whey protien aids in muscle development, and it is essential for growth--body builders use it before competitions
BUT
bio teacher told me that supplements (i asked her what creatine is) make storage bases in your body and they just make ur muscles appear buff, for when u stop workin out the storage bases shrink and u develop sagginess.
is this true for whey protien?
is there any consequences of taking whey twice a day? (for 6 days a week)
Whey protien--TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!

Don't think so no.
Especially as Whey is 30% of the Protein content in Milk, so therefore whilst it is extracted in the process of making Cheese, it may well be in Yoghurts too.
Muscle atrophy probably doesn't cause sagginess. The main thing is with muscle development, is that you expand a layer or membrane over the muscle area, and when you atrophy, the muscle shrinks, the membrane doesn't, so that means less resistance to growth, when the muscle regrows, so you can conceivably get back the lost muscle, faster than you originally did.
To say supplements just make you look buff, is completely nonsensical, ot way of thinking.
Glutamine is a supplement, and it's also part of the Protein strands in Whey, so if that buffness theory were true, Whey would buff you up, because Glutamine would, but hang on, Arginine, is also sold seperately, and also part of Protein strands, so by that reckoning, Whey contains both, so Whey must therefore inflate you, to look like a Weather Balloon.
Plus you could say as Phenylalanine is an Amino Acid, and so is Aspartic Acid, (found in things like Diet Coke), Diet Coke will make you Buff. There is no way Diet Coke can make anybody Buff, and as a post workout alternative to Protein shakes, it would suck big time.
Also NO products increase muscle Pumps during workouts, and Fat Burners are classed as supplements, but nobody gets a Buff look off Fat Burners, unless they have good muscle quality as well, and Frankly F B's, are overhyped, unnecessary garbage, as far as I'm concerned.
One main reason people get saggy, is having say 50% bf, and losing a lot of it, through some training and or diet regime, and then getting loose skin as a result, because the skin has been stretched to the point, where it doesn't tighten up properly all over.
HMB is also a supplement that helps Synthesise Protein, I'd like to know how anyone could just look buff off HMB, as most of it's benefit is dependant on Protein intake anyway.
To way of looking at this, your Bio teacher is misinformed to some degree about this, and whilst they might be able to tell you how the body utilises food, liquids etc etc, I don't think they sufficiently know how it utilises exercise supplements, as I don't think based on this evidence, it's something they have a solid enough understanding of.
Probably down to what they learned at teacher training college, which is not their fault, if learning about exercise supplements, isn't a requirement on the schools curriculum.
