O....M....Gaaaaaaa...u are killin' me!!!!  I don't care if its a "protein bar" that is sounding so much like a candy bar....I love that it is made with healthier ingredients than a standard protein or candy bar. I really have to make these! I promise I have the ingredients...just have to find the time!
It reminds me of what mom makes every Christmas...7 layer bars... absolute most favorite dessert on the planet. I only have it once a year. :D

Of all the ingredients only 1/2 c. is chocolate! But it's enough to satisfy that sugar need! :) I';m eating a warm one now from the new batch - yumm!!! Not as sweet, using the semi dark chocolate, but yummy just the same!

Good stuff! I also get the shredded packaged 2% cheeses too, as well as block 2% sharp cheddar.

well...SOME people have to be SO picky.. .......just kidding!
Here's the actual breakdown on it from the back of the package:
1 slice
Calories - 60
Fat cal. - 35
Total fat - 4.5 g
Sat. fat - 2.5 g
Protein - 5 g
ingredients: reduced fat colby and mont. jack cheeses, (pasteurized part skim milk, cheese culture, salt, enzymens, annatto (color), vitamin A palmitate)
It says it has 25% less fat than the full strength stuff - so I guess it's better than the regular?

Totla Fat 4.5g. Fat calories 35. No, 40.5 calories. Naughty people should get their Maths right first.

Just saying, as that's misealding people, if they think they're eating less fat than they are.

Pretty good Sat to Unsat ratio though, roughly 40% from unsat, so still good anyway, but might be better if the manufactirers went on a refresher maths course .

good eye Boss Man...I never noticed that. I think they probably bank on the fact that most people never really read the backs of the packages!

wouldn't dream of it Les!

Woke up today, legs are sore...I guess i pushed harder than I realized on yesterday's run. Plus I ran outdoors on a harder surface than the treadmill. But that is what I need to do, to recondition body to the outside running surfaces. It felt great to run in the early a.m., no traffic, quiet streets, the sun just starting to break the horizon. I love the cold brisk air, and "watching" breath "vapors" blow into the wind, the rhythm of body perfectly in tune with itself and its surroundings. It's a peaceful, theraputic type of experience for me...can't really explain it. So whether running is "bad" for me, or not, it still fulfills something in me that I am drawn to, a feeling or experience that is like own tiny little secret - just for me. :)

todays meal plan:
breakfast: 2 Om3 eggs scrambled w/flax seed, cilantro herb, Mrs. Dash, pepper, small serving of smoked Peppered turkey breast (almost out! ) and ham slice.
lunch: grilled chicken sandwich on WW or grilled chicken salad (I did not bring lunch to work today...have to go in search of food :x )
snack: LF string cheese, peanuts, almonds
dinner: tilapia, boiled new potatos, steamed brocc, caul, carrots

will list days workout later this evening.
Probably upper body weight workout, let legs rest a day 8)

Lynn, I think it's awesome that you're so passionate about running! When you described how the simple pleasure of a nice morning run made you feel it gave me goosebumps. It's so inspiring to see you working so hard and sticking to your diet so well. When I have hard days I think of your dedication and it gives me that little push of motivation I need to stay on track. I love reading your posts, girl. Keep up the hard work!
