I have posted about this before but I need some help because I'm not sure what I am doing wrong except maybe not eating enough...sometimes I don't have the opportunity to eat 5 meals a day so I am having hard time with this. I am losing no weight but I do the 30 minute on a cardio every other day, started doing strength training on bowflex.
I feel I am eating good calories, I also started protein bars to help with more protein and calories. Now I find myself eating chicken nuggets and french fries because I'm getting frustrated! I have been at this for a little while and have only had a 2 pound loss. I don't want to give up any advice how to increase calories would be greatly appreciated. I drive a bus for a living so breaks for eating are sporadic. I know that I can do this just not sure what else to try.
1 - tough love time: be honest with yourself...do you really not have the time or is preperation terrible...i see bus drivers taking all the time, ecspecially at the end of the lines where they stop for 5 - 10mins...not sure how it works with you though but i'm positive you can work it out
2 - now you need at least 5 meals a day so if you're not then start doing that (6 - 7 is better)
3 - protein bars are ordinary, too many carbs/fat...eat real protein (meat)
4 - not that i've tried the bowflex but it carries your bodyweight for you so you'll be burning minimal cal's
5 - if you've got time to eat nuggets and chips thewn you got time to eat solid protein and veg/salad
Thanks so much...i guess maybe i was asking for a reality check. So your opinion on the bowflex is not good from what i understood can you explain? Thanks again. I actually drive for a transit company for handicapped, elderly, etc..so breaks are never a set time..and we aren't supposed to eat on our bus. Thanks again.
IVe got a bowflex and have been using since I started and it does body really well. Its all about how you approach the movements, I go slow and steady, try and controll the resistance. Alot of people have bad reps on the bowflex but It has worked for me and Ive been told " if it works for you dont stop "..
keep going, don't give up, set yourself a little goal and when you reach that goal then think about your chicken nuggets as a treat..
