....What do you suggest I eat, that's light, with little carbs, and will not turn into fat as I sleep....
Yesterday I realized that I skipped a meal...which was pretty late about 12 a.m....and today the same thing might just happen, because when it's late at night...its hard to "cook" things. so what I did ....I had a few walnuts (like 5 pieces), with little peanuts...(about 12 pieces)....
Should I do the same tonight if I get hungry right before I sleep?

I prefer fat free cottage cheese before bed as its a slow digesting protein. You could even mix a little natural peanut butter or almond butter with it.

Oh sweet, thanks! I never had peanut butter...it's a not a common food we eat here. You know because of the differences in culture...more than 50% of our foods are bad and unhealthy with a lot of oil and fat in it...and junk. Really...

Yes peanut butter is great as a snack as it is a source of healthy fats. Make sure you go for 100% natural (the other stuff has sugar and preservatives added that aren't the best for you). When doing peanut butter as a snack just make sure you add protein and some kind of carb to it to make it balanced.

but..isn't "butter" VERY bad for you? That's what confused me the most! Ahh..I went shopping today, I should go sometime soon to get peanut butter, what about peanut butter "cookies?"

Butter from dairy isn't the healthiest choice because it is all saturated fat. Peanut butter is made from ground peanuts so it isn't actually "butter". Peanuts are loaded with "healthy" unsaturated fats that have actually been proven to improve health. Make sense?
Peanut butter cookies= No good. These are typically made with butter (real butter), sugar, white flour, and a small amount of peanut butter. The peanut butter is healthy, however mixing it with other "crap" is not.

You can also try a grainy cereal, or oatmeal with either lowfat milk or soy milk, maybe add some banana or berries. You don't want to eat too large a meal or too much protein (increases dopamine levels) right before bed because it can make it difficult to fall asleep. And of course try not to skip meals it lowers your metabolism, aim for something every 3 hours.

i work shifts early and lates some nights i come home 1-2 in the morning and i am hungry so i take a protein shake ,allways keeps me going until i get up , sometimes take one to work with me just incase i get hungry after 10pm, also carry fruit with me and lots of water give it a try ,i find the protein shake 30 -60 minutes before bed works very well .
