Having some trouble with ab workouts.

Post by surlesc »

For awhile I have had some back issues. Its not severe, but whenever I do something like situps or even crunches on a workout ball, back starts to hurt. I am not sure if its that I'm doing it wrong or if I should just find other workouts for abs that won't effect back. I someone could let me know about ab workouts that would be good for this that would be great. If there is some kind of example somewhere online of it I'd really appreciate it.

Leg raises will cause back pain for some people. Skip the leg raises (supine, on the floor) and add hanging leg raises (from a chinning bar or from a dipping station/captain's chair). The pain should go away after 2 or 3 days.
