Is workout routine any good

Post by Christon »

Hello,
I am 15 almost 16 years old and i'm curious as to if workout routine is any good.
I weigh 57 kilograms and am 175cms tall.
It's not really much of a routine, 3-4 days a week I do as follows in this order:

-50 Hammer Curls (5kg weights in each hand)
-30 Hammer Curls (5kg weights in each hand)
-15 Lateral Raises (small hold) (5kg weights in each hand)
-50 Shrugs (1-2 second hold) (5kg weights in each hand)
-50 Flat Dumb Bell Presses (1-2 second hold) (5kg weights in each hand)
-35 Flat Flies (5kg weights in each hand)
-150 Crunches (2-3 second hold) (10 second hold at the end)

On top of this I walk home from school everyday-5 days a week 25min walk.

Any suggestions, your opinions, things i could change I'd really be interested.

i'ma ssuming your trying to bulk up so you need to use a wt that allows 10 - 15 reps not 50...50 rep sets will only build endurance not muscle...it also sounds like you only have enough wt for 5kgs in each hand so move to bul;garian split squats, pull ups, push ups, static lunges and prone ab braces for 3 x 10 - 15 each doing on mon / wed / fri and czardio if yuo want on the other days...you'll also need to eat probablt more than twice as much as you do now which is really how you gain muscle

Thanks, that sounds pretty good and more realistic, I assume that prone ab braces are crunches. And other than that, I do eat alot, I don't have a fast metabolism i used to weigh 67 back when i was about 13. I started working out doing push ups, chin ups and sit ups. then it progressed to what i was doing before, but i never got any real advice on what i should do, so i will give this a shot.

i don't usually include isolation exercises in programs...you can if you want but curls don't make your arms bigger, squats and deadlifts do
