meals 1 - 3: fruit and protein
meals 4 - 6: prtoein and salad/veg

do wts 3/week full body style using nothing but compound exercises
keep wts in 10 - 12 rep range
keep rest to 30secs max between sets and can use supersets, trisets, circuits etc

do 1 - 2 days of sprints 10 x 100m where you go at about 80% pace for all sprints so they're basically all the same speed with 30secs max rest between each sprint

hiit cardio on 1 - 2 other days

Too much Cardio burns Muscle, and some of the calories your body needs. Cardio is fine, but becoming too reliant on it for fat losses, or doing too much, is not a sound way to progress. Bearing in mind his calorie intake might be not too far off the limit, in order to get less bf%.

Alsdo avoiding Carbs, is going to cause Ketosis, (Burning of Fats for energy, instead of Carbs),and unless you're prepping for some kind of contest, that's not a healthy state to be in, as it can affect the quality of your blood, and long term, cause damage to some of your organs.

If he wants to reduce his Fat, then simple methods like water intake and increased healthier Fats, will be beneficial

Avoiding carbs is like avoiding fuel for your car. It's very difficult to sustain any form of exercise without them.

"Too much cardio" is relative. As long as an individual is adequately fueled and energy is replenished, muscle mass will not be negatively affected.

i love carbs! and timing etc. is BS. you only have to stay in your calorie limit... it gets very difficult to get into the single digit bf% without losing muscle... cardio indeed burn alot of muscles.

A small amount of protein is burned when performing cardio exercise, but if you are appropriately fueled (eat adequate calories) and replenish fuel adequately, muscle does not have to be compromised.

Yes, of course, I should have said too much Cardio "in some instances", can burn muscle.

i think timing is crucial for all food not just carbs, there's a lot more going on than "staying in your calorie limit"
