Liver problem!!!!

Post by Frenchmaid1969 »

Hey!
I have had gallbladder remove like 7 years ago now for about 2 year i have pain under ribcage where they remove the gallbladder finally doctor send me for an ultersound as a follow-up i guess... the result came back that i got fat deposit on liver but he said that he does not think that would cause the pain! But he mention that i have to loose weight as i mention in a different post in NUTRITION but also he told me that i had to stop drinking alcohol.. i don't drink much only really in the summer since i got the whole summer off and i pass it on the beach so i drink maybe like 3 to 4 beer a day.. i guess that not the greathes...

But someone told me that once you get your gallbladder remove you have to stop eating any junk and eat properly and also eat low glicimic index food.... you guy's ever heard that...

so anyway i look at a list of glycimic food.. and to suprise the banana were there as high.... :( they are favorit fruit.. so now what i guess i can't eat them!!!

Bagle are on the list too, mango, Whole weat bread, rye bread....SO WHAT THE HECK I AM SUPPOSE TO EAT..NOT MUCH IT SEEM well that is kind of suck!!! :x anyone has any thip for me let me know please since i am getting depress ...

And more depress when yesterday bf made a comment on butt getting bigger... grrrrrr.... :( so better do something.... not just too look better but for health!!!!

Thanks....!!!!!

Thanks for the info LES!

How can i find out what i can eat and what i can not eat...so its not good to have bagle alone but with cream cheese its ok and same with banana not alone but if you have it with a toast and peanut butter its ok... I confuse...so if you mix the GI with other food it change the process in your body???

Well the doctor told me that i have to change all eating habit because of the removal of gallbladder since they discover that they were fat deposit in liver the told me that basically its cause by not a good eathing habit and alchool consoumption so he told me that if i change that and that in 6 month from now i take an other ultrasound that it would probably be fine!

But he also told me that once a person has their gallbladder remove its not good for them to continu eating fat, greassy food because your body does not process it as if you had a gallbladder so your liver work harder!

So your friend she can eat fries, chips and all that stuff... maybe this is why sometime i eat stuff and i have a hard time digest it it take me for ever ..

Lesplease wrote:She can eat those things, but she pays dearly. When she eats chips fries, other fatty foods, she gets very very bad distress. It's awful. Very painful, stomach cramps and all that.

The glycemic index is a measure of insulin response. Sugary foods, like a banana, and starchy foods, like a bagel or toast are high GI. They raise your blood sugar quickly because they break down into glucose very very quickly.

Peanutbutter (which is all unsaturated fat and protein) and lf cream cheese (protein and some fat) are low GI because they do not convert quickly into glucose.

By mixing your foods, something sugary and something proteiny, it lowers the GI of your meal because your intake does not get processed food-by-food. It all mixes together in the stomach, and proteins and sugars are leeched in to the blood stream slowly. Because sugar is not the only thing in there, it gets released more slowly. Make sense?
Oh ok... yes that make sence... i guess this is way if i eat a piece of cake then 10 min after i want an other one!

Do you know if sugar is addictif... because i told bf that i have a hard time to stop eating it its seem that i crave it and he goes its not addictif... you just like it?

An other question friend told me that there is some kind of protein made of hemp she said that its the best protein you can get she put this in her cereale... have you ever heard of it call (Dehulled Hemp)

Gi ratings were originally based on Glucose, the Carbohydrate all others become.

Glucose ranks at 100, but some things can rank higher like Dates, (Gi 105).

The original workings out were done, based on 50g Glucose doses to participants, to ascertain Bloodsugar response.

At the lower end of the spectrum, you have those ranking at around 10GI, like Tomatos, Musrooms and Broccoli.

For GI ratings, they go as follows.

<54 Low.

54-69, Moderate.

70+ High

However this doesn't tell the whole story, because if Mushrooms supposedly elevate Bloodsugar 10%, this means 1 would and all others had no effect, which is simply illogical.

So this gave rise to Glycemic Load.

The taking of a GI rating and either diving it by 100 * Total Carbs, or multiplying TC and GI / 100.

So obviously 10 Mushroom Carbs are 1GL, 20 are 2GL. This equates to percentage Bloodsugar rise. 20GL = 20%.

This is how they define it.

<14.99, low.

15-19.99, moderate.

20+ High.

You can however workout combined Carbs, which I will demonstrate thusly, with a simple example.

Two sources.

Mushroom, (GI10), Brown Rice, (GI70). 40 Grams total Carb, (TC), 50/50 split on the Carbs from both.

MC GI,(10) x 50% =5.

BRC GI(70) x 50% = 37.5

37.5+5 = 42.5 combined GI, (CGI).

CGI x TC / 100 = 17GL or 17% Bloodsugar increase.

if you alter the ratios, I.E. 75% Mushroom, 25% Rice, you get 10.5GL, 25% Mushroom, 75% Rice, you get 23.5GL, so that's how you can workout mixed sources, even if you have 3 or more like in a Salad.

Hopefully you can make sense of that somehow .

The high GI things to consume sparingly, that are healthy, are Whole-grain Bread and Brown Rice, (GI70 approx), Watermelon, (GI 73 approx), White Rice, (GI87 approx), Parsnips, (Gi90 approx).
