105 foods for the rest of your life
Same as the competing thread, but a longer list...

Re: 105 foods for the rest of your life
Where's the list?
Re: 105 foods for the rest of your life
Everyone is supposed to supply their own list.ldematto wrote:Where's the list?
Mine starts out like this:
1. Oreo Double Stuffed
2. Haagen Daz Chocolate Chocolate Chip ice cream
3. Pepperoni pizza with extra cheese.
4. Kit Kat bars
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
(Note: I will be adding to this from time to time. Now isn't this more fun than choosing just 5?)

Oh goodness you are going to be constipated AND sick from this diet!Packard wrote:Everyone is supposed to supply their own list.ldematto wrote:Where's the list?

No I don't think this is more fun than choosing just 5. Choosing only 5 was WAY better as you honestly had to think about your answers and it was less time consuming than choosing 105 foods. Face it pack-poo.. thread was better. I am the winner.

It's a bit like Golfers deciding on their perfect 3 club bag. If you widen the choice, it's less challenging. In normal golf, I think most would probably just say, I'll forgo the 5 wood, now then 3 wood or 1 Iron? After which job done
.
Don't forget Cassie, in 61 years, Packard has probably eaten a lot more food types than most here, some of which are were probably manufactured in wrappers, and can't be bought anymore, some possibly may have had banned ingredients, or ones removed across the board, in relation to health guidelines or improved science
He might be recalling 105 foods from his entire life, and then realising a quarter, are no longer available, unless he copied type of methodology, and just listed several differing cuts or cooked varients of the same meat and poultry products, to sneakily use loads of options.

You worry about constipation way too much...cassiegose wrote:Oh goodness you are going to be constipated AND sick from this diet!Packard wrote:Everyone is supposed to supply their own list.ldematto wrote:Where's the list?

When I was younger a good breakfast was fried eggs (two or three) home fries, bacon, buttered toast, orange juice and a small bowl of corn flakes with a sliced banana and sugar and whole milk.Boss Man wrote:It's a bit like Golfers deciding on their perfect 3 club bag. But then the evil forces of the nutrition world added stuff to the eggs and butter and bacon and the whole milk that suddenly made these all unhealthy.
There is a history for this type of thing going on.
When I was younger cigarettes made you "short winded" and that was the entirety of the health issues with cigarettes. Then those same evil forces (or their blood relatives) added stuff to the cigarettes to make them lethal.
And cigars used to just make you smell bad--now they can kill you.
The answer is clear: Find and eradicate those evil forces and then enjoy your food and cigarettes (except if you worry about constipation--as that is not the result of the evil forces' efforts.)
Constipation is best dealt with the way 5 grade math teacher had us work out other problems: "A pencil; work it out with a pencil!"

Heard that before. Still doesn't get any less grotesque the more times though.
This has to be a world first on any board like this, a comment encouraging you to enjoy tobacco
Frankly the Pencil thing's beginning to sound a little better now and more conscienable too

1. Yes. I head it about 53 years ago. So it is not a new joke.
2. No encouraging people to smoke, just commenting on the evil forces at work here (and the fact that cigarettes are now $7.89 per pack in New York).
3. The more often you are exposed to objectionable material, the more inured you get to it. Lenny Bruce syndrome.
