Thank you Boss Man for your kind words and support.

I'm smiling alot these days, and you guys are a big part of helping me do that

In all the years I have ran races, triathlons, etc. I have never had the outpouring of support, encouragement and friendship that surrounds me now, with being a part of this community of like minded individuals. It is a powerful motivator and an essential tool in ongoing quest for becoming the healthiest and strongest I can be, and for achieving the goals I set for myself. Life, for me, is a series of challenges and goal setting. It's what keeps me going. Always having eyes set forward, looking ahead at the next challenge. I refuse to end up a middle-aged tired, feeling old, couch potato - not able or willing to do anything meaningful with life. What kind of example is that for son? I can't change the fact that I will grow older, but I can control the way I do it.

Thanks Sandygirl! You aren't doing such a bad job urself, girlfriend! You look awesome!
I know this has been said many times in many ways...but I can attest to the fact that it really is
never too late to improve your life, give up old habits that just hold you back, and change your life.
Brent said it best in another post I read ...Life is about choices. That is SO true! I have been down many roads in life, some not so great, faced many obstacles (some of own doing

) and "chose" to overcome them all. It didn't happen overnight, and it is not always an easy thing - in fact alot of the time it is "3 steps forward, 2 steps back", but I just have to keep on, keepin' on (thanks Oscar...I'm gonna make that new saying!)
Well, I didn't mean to make this such a long post...but I just feel so strongly about helping others to see that they are not alone, change can happen...TODAY!
