hey dose anybudy know how toe gett bigger and stonger. i have been working on running and staying in shape but i want to be able to be stonger with the ball.
I don't play basketball for a team, but we play at the park alot.
For the past few weeks, I've been working on leg strength, just so I can get more power out of jump. Right now I can hang on the rim, but I really want to be able to dunk it.
So what I do, is lay on pack, with 20lb ankle weights on each foot, and just raise them up and down, and then the bridge with them. Noticing some improvment.
And it works out the ab's very well.

Here is some other advice i would like to share. If you are serious about maxmizing your ability in basketball. Here are a few simple drills that i used to do when i played ball in College.
1. During the summer take 500 + Jump shots a day. I know it sounds like a lot ,but this is a workout that Michael Jordan used to do. When your shooting oyur jumpers make sure to shoot from all angles on the court. 10 footers ,15 footers ,bankshots ,20 feet and out.
2. Practice dribbling full court by yourself with your left hand for 30 minutes straight ,then switch to the right hand for another 30 minutes. Then finish off with cross over dribbling for another 30 minutes.
I have a few more tips i could offer. Just ask me.

do you think i could do them all at once or at least combine two of them together? because it seems logical that i could do both the sprinting workout and the jump one at the same time but i doubt i would get teh same results from the sprinting and the jumping ones if i also do the muscle program is this true?
