Congrats. You can definitely see you have changed.

Oh and no, 3lbs lost would have been bad. You're not weighty enough to sacrifice 3lbs of Fat, not by a long chalk. You'd have probably sacrificed some Water and Muscle, so the 1lb loss was pretty much ideal for someone weighing 130lbs.

   Thank you guys! You're sooo sweet. As I said before, I'm going to work harder to hopefully get "dream" results by December. But I'm trying to learn how to keep the weight off along the way. I started working out as soon as I get up & before eating breakfast. Read on a magazine that you can burn more fat during this time. True? I enjoy it because it gives me more energy, but when I start the workout, I feel tired. I can't eat a banana by itself (makes me sick)& don't like apple much. So, I decided to drink 1/2 protein shake. Nervous, because when I drink/eat before exercise, makes me puke. Will find out Monday (starting date) how it goes. Also, sometimes I don't feel like eating anything for lunch (not hungry or nauseous). Can I have just a protein shake? Please forgive me if I asked this before. Have bad memory . Anyways, today was what I called a "hot chocolate day". It was cold, windy, rainy, dark & wasn't feeling so upbeat. Had a sore throat & entire body ache. Coming down with a flu? Hope not! Too much to do & friend "date" is getting closer. So, after short workout, decided to have tea w/ breakfast. Honestly, not a tea drinker, but this time, liked it & made me feel warm & cozy. Felt like staying in bed...but didn't. Because of the weather, didn't walk outside. But as soon as I got home, did a 2 mile "walking program" & was sweating like crazy. It wasn't the walk. It was the fever. Took temperature & it was 101. Took some motrin & knocked me out immediately. When I woke up, felt better but decided to take it easy. That is, until tomorrow :D. This is what I did:
Workout: Upper body (felt very crappy but finished :D)
Breakfast: 1/2 small bowl of oatmeal w/ eggwhite & 1 cup of tea w/ skim milk & splenda
Snack: 2 wheat crackers & string cheese (low fat mozarella & cheddar mixed) & 1 cup of water
Lunch: 1/2 grilled chicken sandwich w/ lettuce & tomatoes & 1 bottle of water (wanted to puke)
Snack: 1 slice of ham w/ 10 grapes & 1 cup of water
Got home & did 2 mile walking program & drank 1/2 bottle of water (sweating like a pig)
Prepared dinner & felt sick, had a temperature, took Motrin & went to sleep. Got up, showered & checked emails & browse a few websites. Had dinner: 1/2 cup of rice w/grilled chicken & veggies & 1 cup of water & now posting. I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day cause TGIF! And, need to hula hoop way to a smaller waist .

Working out in the morning is debatable for some people. I know some people love working out in the morning with an empty stomach because they feel like it burns more fat. However, from personal experience… I do NOT like to workout with an empty stomach! Just like you, I felt tired and some people even feel light headed. But if I eat too heavy… I’ll throw up! So, I have a protein shake…(Powder & water) That filled me up and gave me energy to be productive & burn more calories!!! After workout… I had oatmeal and eggs! :D

Training on empty, can burn Fat, but also muscle.

Question. You have low blood sugar when you wake, so if you then do something that can lower bloodsugar in itself, is that logical?

No. It sounds like madness.

These theories came about, long after people actually started training and eating to lose weight, so the theories are basically unsound in opinion. If the vast majority of people trying to lose weight, could never blitz the last 20lb's or so, and training on empty was the only answer then fair enough, but it isn't.

It can as stated, cause mild issues and is not necessary to achieve a desied weight loss result. At best slightly speed up the process, but logically, doing anything to speed up a physical process, that the right physical circumstances will allow the body to achieve, can cause issues.

Think about Fat Burners in relation to weight loss. You never give your body a "loaded gun" situation, and force it to do something quicker, when in people with no physical or health limitations, (barring excess weight), a pro-active diet and training regime, will give the body the right circumstances to achieve what's required.

The body can do what's required in the right circumstances, which don't include being

A: Starved of any nutrients.

B: Given any stimulants.

C: Made to endure excessive amounts of activity.

Don't forget, if you've eaten and had stuff in your diet before a workout, like Carbs for energy, Protein for anti-catabolism and things like Iron, Copper and Vit C that can help with things like Bloodflow and Erythrocyte, (Oxygen carrying Red Blood cell), levels, that's beneficial, especially for promoting Oxygen replenishment to the Brain and Muscles, and potentially reducing Lactic Acid buildup, (Muscle Glycogen use post-oxygen depletion).

At the very least have a shake with something like Cushed Oats an or Honey in, if things like Fruit, Eggs, Chicken, Cereal etc etc, seem a problem.

brentyboy...Thank you! That's very sweet of you :D .
Nokie173...You're right. I'll eat something small before w/o & the nice meal after. Like that :D.
Lesplease...Seen that happen. Long time ago, at a gym I used to go, a girl passed out & her pulse was so low, the ambulance had to rush her to the hospital. Will try the "1 hr" small meal before w/o (like cereal). Thanks.
Boss Man... Didn't know you can burn muscle instead of fat & you can add uncooked oatmeal on your shakes. Thanks for the tip!
Feeling like somebody threw me in a washing machine for 1 hr & then hung me to air dry . Lord have mercy! Feeling like crap. nose is stuffed & eyes are itchy & sore throat is on fire. However, got up early in the morning to workout. Ate something light because it was lower body workout. Didn't do abs. Wasn't in the mood. day was kind of boring & slooow in the beginning. In the afternoon, it started to get better. I was still feeling sick, but passed by supermarket & decided to buy "new" foods. On list: green beans, yogurt & cereal (no sugar). Thought: green beans looked like grass (not like regular beans), yogurt looked like pudding & cereal (it wasn't frosted flakes :(). Well, tried the green beans & LOVED IT!. Stry fried it with mushrooms, zucchini, tomatoes, red peppers & pieces of chicken breast & it was YUMMY. Yougurt: not for me, unless it's Breyers w/ M&M's/Crunch toppings (ok, only the toppings). Kelloggs: will add 1 pack sweet & low & it'll be ok. Well, 2 out of 3...not bad. Also, since only have a pair of 5lbs weight, decided to make own "weight bar"?. Don't know the real name. I used a broom stick, added 2 socks full of rocks (3lbs each side) & tied first & secured by taping w/ duct tape. kids say it looks funny/weird but it works! Will use it to work back, triceps, biceps, shoulders chest , waist, etc. Thinking of a few ways to use it. You know, with the recession and all...you have to do what you can  .
Friday went like this:
Snack: 1 Toast w/ peanut butter & 1/2 cup of tea w/ skim milk & 1 sweet & low
Workout: Lower body- 30 minutes (not in the mood, but did it)
Breakfast: Cream of Wheat w/ egg white & 1 toast w/ peanut butter & 1/2 cup of tea
lUNCH: 1/2 Grilled sandwich w/ lettuce & toamtoes & 1 cup of hot skim milk w/ little sugar free nesquick (felt very ill & feverish) & 1 motrin & 1 cup of water
Snack: 5 big grapes & piece of low fat chedar cheese & 1 cup of water
Dinner: Stir fry veggies (including green beans) w/ 1/2 cup brown rice & side salad & 1 bottle of water (feeling better!)
Workout: 2 mile walk (indoor)
Started to feel sick again so showered & went to sleep.

Saturday:
Family day. Decided to take the day off (instead of Sunday). Still feeling sick, but no fever...YEAH! Got up late, stayed in bed & in PJ"S ( hubby's request :D ) & kids did breakfast...Nice thought, bad idea. Made: Montecristo sandwiches (nothing fat free, low fat nor wheat), hot chocolate w/ whipped cream (have they learned anything?) & bowl of fruits (only healthy thing :D). Ate the fruits, and asked them to "improve" sandwich & hot chocolate. They did because they felt bad (Hey, I should use pity in favor ). It won't work, cause they know I'll be up by lunch. Can't let them mess up with kitchen . In all, still sick, but a good day. Like to be pampered once in a blue moon . Can't blame me, who doesn't? Not much activity going on, but did some chewing:
Breakfast: HEALTHY montecristo, hot chocolate (skim & no whip cream) & small bowl of fruits
Snack: 1/4 sunflower seeds & grapes & 1 cup of water
Lunch: 1 small mashed potato w/ tuna fish & sir fry veggies & 1 cup of water
Snack: side salad w/ 1 slice of ham & low fat shredded mozarella & 1 cup of water
Dinner: Whole wheat pasta w/ grilled turkey sausage & veggies, side salad & 1 bottle of water
Snack: 1/2 banana split protein smoothie
Hopefully tomorrow, get back on workout mode. Also...DINNER WITH FRIEND! Will tell you all about it. Stay tuned :D .

you might want to add some weight training. Lifting weights is great for losing fat. especially when you are working large muscle groups like your legs, back and chest. Good luck and stick with it!!! :D

Sunday,
What a day & night! This morning I couldn't get out of bed. That's how sick I was. Got up, went to the store & got some air. It did me very good. For breakfast ate a small bowl of cream of wheat & 40 minutes later I was doing upper body, abs & 200 jumping jack. Prepared breakfast for everybody else & sat around talking about the dinner w/ friend. I was very happy the weather was unbelievably nice (after all that cold, wind & rain). During lunch time, washed clothes & felt sick again. So, took a motrin & a "little nap". Not so little! I slept for 3 hours. Woke up, made dinner, chose outfit (with hubby's help ) & after trying to convince him why I shouldn't wear a turtleneck, dressy pants & a blazer, did HIIT jumping (30 min), showered & got dressed. Between hubby & kids' ideas, I thought I was going to either an interview or church . I finally decided to wear something casual but nice: Light blue jeans, black silk blouse & black high heel boots. hair was pull back (have long hair). Picked her up at the train station & almost didn't recognize her. She dyed her hair blonde. Went to Applebee's. There, we talked about college, old friends, teachers, jobs & love life (very juicy stuff). It was time to order & OMG! I was very nervous. Didn't want to order anything fattening & didn't want "diet" written all over food choices. So, did what I think anybody would do. Let her order first. Big problem! I think she was waiting for me to do it first . Got up enough courage & ordered sirloin steak. Remember what you guys suggested on steaks. Ordered it well- done & it came with garlic mashed potatoes, fresh steamed veggies & toasted bread. To drink: water w/ lemon. To surprise, she said: "I'll have the same thing". After the waiter left, we both started laughing. She asked: "Where you thinking what I was thinking?" YES! Concern about the weight? 100%! Me too . She said: " Well, I figured, if you're eating all that & still look the way you do, then I guess I'll try it  :D. She made night. We ate pretty much the same things. For example: the steak was 9oz. Cut the steak in 1/2 , ate 1/2 the mash potatoes, all the veggies & drank the water w/ lemon (2 large). She did exactly the same thing. I was very flattered! We laughed hard, talked hard & ate (not so hard) but good. We even made our waiter laugh (was having a bad night). He was so happy, he gave us each a small oreo cookie shake. Very nice! We didn't drink it. Brought it home w/the left over food. OHH, guess what?   She loves Mocha lattes! So, after we ate, went to Dunkin Donuts to get one each. I parked the car 3 blocks away & we walked (got some cardio done  ). We had FUN, FUN, FUN. Invited her for Thanksgiving dinner at house...said YES!

Mami, you should try to find a link on a recent post, to someone evaluating that Jillian Michaels woman on that Biggest Loser programme.

It might change your thinking about people, who promote potentially unhealthy weightloss ideals, that promote poor understanding of weight maintenance or nutrition, and participant weight gain after cessation.

Not trying to sound like a promoter of rhetoric, but I think having a non-biased evaluation on an external site, by someone, might be something you find useful, as sometimes giving what could be called hero worship to people, isn't always a positive thing.

I'm not trying to influence you in any way, just making you aware of something you might find useful. Your life choices, providing they're healthy and / or lawful, are not mine to criticise or judge, but merely to understand, support and encourage.

It's good to see you are still doing so well. You can be very proud of yourself so keep up the hard workand best wishes.

Lesplease... will check on shapefit the hyperextensions & all the other exercises to get an idea of what they are & how to do them. So much awesome information brain is about to burst . Don't worry, It'll be a happy explosion.
Boss Man... I'm with you 100%. Whenever I get a link, I check it out, but I mostly print the exercises I'm not familiar with & then look for them on shapefit to find out what part of the body it helps. Don't worry, I want to get "new" body & health the natural, healthy & right way. Not into gimmicks or the easy/fast route. I want to achieve transformation & feel proud of it. As I said before, It's been a long & slooow journey, but fun, exciting & wonderful one. Have learned so much, so far it's mind blowing. I think I'm starting to get a little addicted (in a good way) to this kind of life. I love trying new exercises, foods & at the same time, learning what they do for body/health. It's AMAZING! I want it to be for the rest of life! So, as always, Thank you!

Happy Monday! Still sick, but in a very good mood. Started day with a small bowl of oatmeal & 45 min. later, did entire body workout. Upper, lower & abs. Maybe it was the great night I had with friend or the fact that I looked at the calendar & realized there is only 14 more days till DECEMBER . I know I didn't give a specific date in December, but in mind I was thinking more by the 18th   Why? Let me take a deep breath...Ok, Big family reunion. Let me breath again before I pass out . EVERYBODY (from around the US) will come for our annual family christmas dinner/party. But I also have the 24th in mind, I want to give hubby a very sexy present for christmas...ME! in a sexy outfit . OK, maybe TMI but it's true! Anyways, had a great day (still sick), went to the Dr. & got antibiotics & went home. Cooked, checked emails, journal entries & then, play UNO with son. It's the "in" thing now. Love card games, board games, etc. I'm very modern (like Wii, playstation, etc.) but I'm also old fashion. Favorites: Trouble, guess who?, checkers, snakes & ladders, etc. OH! Hula Hoop...Love. Ok, enough, back to work. After he beat me (4-3), we ate & then workout. day went like this:

Breakfast: specialty omelette & 1/2 protein shake w/ 1/2 banana
Snack: 2 teaspoon peanut butter & 4 strawberries w/ 1 cup of water
Lunch: Grilled chicken fajita (w/ whole wheat soft tortilla & grilled veggies, side salad & 1 bottle of water
Snack: 8 grapes w/ 1/4 cottage cheese & 1 cup of water
Dinner: 1/2 cup brown rice, 1/2 leftover steak in pieces mixed w/ grilled veggies & 1/2 bottle of water
Workout: Abs video & 3 sets of 20 (using resistance band): squats w/ shoulder press, chest press, lunges (very hard for me), standing row, standing shoulder press, bicep curls & standing rotations. Also HIIT jumping for 15 min.
Snack: 1/2 protein shake
Tomorrow, getting all the christmas ornaments out of the closet & trying a new workout video a friend lend me... dancing! Sounds fun, new & sexy. Will find out If I can still shake what momma gave me .

Tuesday...feeling much better. This morning did the abs video 2 times & decided NOT to have any bread nor d. pepsi at all. It was HARD! Love bread. But did it. However, had a major temptation today. Found out how weak I was about chocolate chip ice cream  . I was going to use "I'm sick" as an excuse, but I'm not (it's a good excuse though ). I only had 1/2 cup. It was delicious. CONFESSION: wanted to have a full cup w/ d. pepsi (soda float) but didn't. I've been having all kinds of cravings all day  . Last night I dreamt we were at our favorite buffet and I had a big humongous plate filled with clams & oysters in marinara sauce, mashed potatoes, shrimp fried rice, spaghetti & meatballs & a large Mocha latte w/ whipped cream. OMG! It was heavenly. Don't worry, didn't give in. Everytime I thought about it, i looked at agenda and...the 18TH brought me back to reality :D. Thank goodness for that. quick day went like this:
Snack: 1/2 protein shake w/ 1/2 banana
Workout: 6 minutes abs video TWICE! & circuit training (25 min)
Breakfast: Cream of wheat w/ 1/2 banana & 1/2 protein shake
Lunch: Grilled chicken fajita w/ veggies & side salad w/ 1 bottle of water
Snack: 8 grapes & 1/4 cottage cheese & 1 cup of water
Dinner: Grilled fish w/ steamed veggies & chef salad & 1 bottle of water
Workout: dancing video (only 1/2 because started to get dizzy) but it was lots of fun & even had to pause to watch hubby drooling :D. Loving it. Will definitly finish the video tomorrow. :D :D

OK woman... No more buffet dreams!!!.. You're making me HUNGRY!!!
Anyways.. I have those cravings too.. sometimes I give in, sometimes I'm in better control.
I give in because I know i'll grub a whole lot if I don't have a little taste to satisfy cravings...
But most times... I have better control.. I always keep in mind..
The taste of fitness taste better than anything! :P
