new weight !

Post by kunathm »

Hi all,

since last week I am down a pound but I feel alot stronger from a good week of lifting and cardio. Next week gym partner and I are going full body and I'm hoping you guys are right (from what I read you are)

I'm at 174 now... down from 179 three weeks ago... good pace for loss and great workouts, not to mention paying attention to what I've been eating ..

les,

I'm looking forward to it, also I read that muscle recovery is faster as your not bringing them to a full fatigue. I like the thought of that as I have been very sore

w/o partner was against it, I sent him a few reads that I did about it and also links to changing up your routine and suck.. he hasn't changed up in like 4 months so he agreed it was time.. were gonna do fulls for like 3 months then splits, then back and so on ...

Splits are fine.

3 main things to consider.

1. Not using poor technique.

2. Not overloading on weight.

3. Avoiding problem and pissy exercises, like behind the neck stuff and things like Wrist Curls.

Splits have been a mainstay for years, and most people have never ended up with gnarled spines, lopsided development or gaps in the body, where some muscles didn't develop properly, except when they'd done any or all of the 3 listed things.

does that put you against full body then Boss ? or just that mixing it up and doing splits for a while and f/b for a while is a good thing?

No I encourage fully body, but I also encourage splits. To me either will work, according to the users preferance, and weekly time constraints.

The same rules apply to TBT. No risky or pissy exercises, no overloading and no crappy technique.

I think full body is the way to go. I used to do splits and I have no desire to go back. I started doing full body at the beginning of the spring and I'm not even close to bored. I mix it up in so many different ways. HR is faster during the full body than when I did splits so heart gets more exercise. I find it to be less time consuming giving me more time to run. I also feel stronger and as a bonus, I look better too, especially in mid-section. I think you will be very pleased ;)
