One year I wore a "50's" flared out poodle skirt with a pair of white oxford shoes, sweater, scarf and hair in a ponytail with a big ribbon tied in it. It was so much fun.sandigirl06 wrote:Well, the costume that sticks out in mind was the year I was a 50's roller girl. I got a sweater, scarf, rolled up jeans and of course roller skates

We're in a new house, so I had no idea how many kids to expect. I bought a ton of Reese's (it's one of the only candies that doesn't have hydrogenated oils or corn syrup)...and we only had 3 kids!! I hope husband is hungry.
LOL! dogs have been barking their HEADS off at the passing trick or treaters (dogs are in the yard next do the front door) so haven't had any actually knock on door. I live in a town of 1500 so highly doubt I'll have very many, if any, actually show up and knock. Just in case I just sent fiance down to the store for candy. If anybody does show up to house they are going to hit the JACKPOT as I'm giving out ALL the candy tonight. Had decided that I wasn't going to give out candy, however I'm going to feel like a giant jerk if somebody knocks and I have to turn them away. I should put some oatmeal in baggies and hand that out so i'm not contributing to childhood obesity. Boy wouldn't I be popular!Lesplease wrote:Mannnnn these kids aren't even trying. I just had two show up at door wearing Florida Gator t shirts (The UF UGA game is in Jville every year and was held this afternoon. UF won 41 17. Oh hell yes.) I feel kinda cheated when I'm dressed up more than the kids at the door! At least t shirt looks like mummy wrappings.. sheesh.
Though to be totally fair I had two kids, probably like 8, ring the doorbell and trick or treat, and get some candy, then their little sister came up behind them. She was probably 3 or 4. totally adorable. She just stood there looking at me. "What do you say?" "Thank you." "No, sweetie, before that" "Please?" So I whispered Trick or treat! and she said it with gusto, pouring her tiny little Princess costumed heart into it! Adorable!
Another big group I opened the door and screamed really loud. Two off them actually dropped their buckets (:
That is adorable!! I'd have given her extra, just for her good manners!Lesplease wrote:She was probably 3 or 4. totally adorable. She just stood there looking at me. "What do you say?" "Thank you." "No, sweetie, before that" "Please?"
