Lean Mass Diet Plan

Post by TheMagicalOne00 »

Hello

I'm quite new to this forum, and decided to make this post immediately upon registering.

Goal: Reach a lean body, with low body fat percentage and a sufficient amount of muscle mass.( nothing bulky)

Stats: 165 lbs, 5'8, low muscle mass ( or at least i think so), highly motivated.

I've tried to navigate way through the forums for dieting advice, but it seems i come to a dead end when it comes to finding answers to reach personal goal. I recently posted on the workout forum for a solid workout routine from you experienced folks, but here i will question diet routine.

Currently is as follows:

Morning: Protein shake and a banana. Sometimes egg whites and other fruits

Mid-Morning Snack: Tuna in water, or a protein bar, or garbanzo beans

Lunch:Pita bread, Chicken Breast(grilled of course), Whole Grain Rice, Kidney Beans, Various Green Veggies, Tuna in water,

After-Noon Snack: Same as mid morning

Post-Workout: Protein Shake

Dinner: Same as lunch

Water:1-2 liters a day

No soda!

Keep in mind, i listed what i rotate for the meals. I don't eat all of those for each sitting. I'm not that much of a fatty

But, i'm wondering if meal intake should be lowered, since i am trying to reduce body fat % and gain muscle mass. As you can see, i've upped protein intake. But i need some insight as to what else i should be doing, what i shouldn't be doing/eating, when i should be eating, and other things to watch for on the back of labels of food for reaching this goal.

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. If you have any advice on a workout routine for this goal as well, please feel free to share! Thank all of you for your help :D

I usually have a protein shake in the morning only because i'm in a dorm type setting ( just for the next 4 weeks), so i'm really limited on what i can/can't have. I usually try to get in a short cardio session in the morning anyways.

Thanks for the info on the protein bars. I remember seeing that somewhere else and will try to avoid them.

Thank you so much for your help Lesplease :)
