will skin return to it's normal state after weight lose
Hi everyone i just started ,well i started in september any I have a lot of weight to lose about 100-plus any way qeustion is or if anyone knows will the skin around the abdomen area return to a normal state or what can i do ,i've already lost 9 pounds and it starting to hang low.I need help i have to lose alot of weight by May 2010. Agreed, rapid weight loss promotes a loose skin effect, by preventing adequate remodelling of the skin to your shrinking contours.
Why specifically the target date, if you don't mind me asking, are you getting married on that date? If so then congrats and good luck

Unfortunately this is a genetic thing. If you are predisposed to easy elastin breakdown then there is nothing you can do. I see this all the time at facility, some people can lose 50 pounds with little loose skin while others have significant looseness issues. The problem is when you gain weight the skin stretches to accommodate, once you lose the weight there is no longer as much tissue to fill it out. Once the elastins have been damaged they never regain their elasticity, this is why tummy tucks are so popular. Think of an elastic band after a few too many washes. Genetics, age, amount of weight and length of time holding said weight all can affect your result.
