sweat more than other people

Post by DevilWrath »

how come i sweat so much more than other people at the gym? i lift weights for an hour then i do cardio like running on a treadmill and i sweat like hell, after like 20 minutes im like sweating ALL over, face is lie dripping with sweat. other people only sweat a tiny bit, and some of them are unhealthier than me. and doing cardio after weights is a good idea right?

you got too much water weight that use to be me i use to sweat alot but once the water weight comes off you wont sweat as much, and yes they say if doing weights first then cardio u turn on your fat burning mode but make sure when u do weights its a full body workout to burn more calories and also it can build muscle that way too

I'm sorry but I couldn't disagree with this more. Water weight has nothing to do with how much you sweat. Some people sweat more than others. I have noticed that I used to sweat more than I do now. However, I used to have more body fat so I think that may have to do with it. I've always been a very sweaty person... VERY SWEATY! Again, this is just the way body works. Going back to the water weight... Every persons body should be about 65% water. Sometimes this figure decreases and increases however you should try to keep your body around this figure regardless of how much weight/fat you have.

The diet pills that they make for water weight have nothing to do with sweating.

Sweat is the bodys cooling mechanism. Perhaps at a heavier weight you weren't as conditioned as you are now so your body had to work harder to cool itself down than it does now. Also, body fat acts as insulation. Perhaps at a heavier weight your body had more insulation and had to work harder to cool itself off, thus making you more sweaty then than you are now. Whatever the reason, advising somebody to get rid of water weight is never sound advice as it could lead to dehydration. You're body NEEDS water and your body needs to stay around 65% for optimal functioning. Getting rid of water weight is only going to screw up your system.

Good plan. I don't leave the locker room without towel. :)

Sweating is mainly caused by Thermogenesis, or exposure to heat. You do sweat fluids but also Salts.

So you might from excess sweating, have a slight risk of things like Cramps and Electrolyte imbalance, if you don't temper it, with a moderate Salt intake.

Trying to reduce the problem, by taking things like Diuretics, or products like Taraxtone are not necessarily the answer if you increase dehydration risk.

Yes the excess sweating could also related to subcutaneous fat levels, helping to promote Thermogenesis, in relation to the insulating properites of Fat, so positive alterations in body composition would correct excess sweating, though not completely stem it.

Sweating is healthy, so complete blocking of it, by carpet bombing your skin with associated products, is not ideal. Yes for certain areas, but allowing a little sweating is always a sensible idea.

So as you concluded, don't forget your towel, in fact in some places it's in the rules to have one, for hygeine purposes.
