I agree with Lesplease, take it slowly!!!
Don’t think about missing a workout too much, that might even make you sick more.

I like reduce fat string cheese and slices of turkey wrap around it… but than again that’s just me.
You can add mix nuts with it. You can also have hard boiled eggs (4-6, 1 whole egg, the rest eat the egg whites)

So do take care of yourself as you take care of your family…

FEEL BETTER!!

Thank you guys! Feeling much better. I guess the chicken soup worked wonders for me :D. This morning I had tons of energy. Unbelievable after all that puking. For starters, I had a bowl of oatmeal (skim milk & stevia) w/ eggwhite & 1 cup water. Did the Jackie 1 on 1 upper body workout (5 lbs weight on most of the workout & 3lbs on the rest). At least I finished the video :D. Now, getting ready to have a snack. Ready to try a slice of ham (don't have turkey) wrapped around medium size string cheese (skim-low fat), few grapes (8) & 1/4 cup of mixed sunflower seeds, peanuts, walnuts. First time I try this combination. OOHH! and 1 bottle of water. Well, have to go...will keep you posted. Soon, weigh in day . VERY NERVOUS!!!

This is one of favorite quick snacks! A slice of ham or turkey wrapped around LF string cheese is great! You could add a big leaf of Romaine lettuce as the outside layer of your wrap...yummmm

I understand completely what you are feeling. One of the hardest things to learn and accept (especially when you are just starting out) is to allow your body a rest day. A rest day does NOT equal a wasted day. Try not to let yourself think like that. When we overwork our bodies and push them too far, your resistance to sickness and fatigue is lowered and alot of times you get physically sick. The body is overly tired and not able to fight off various illnesses like colds, flu, etc. I've had to learn this the hard way, more than once! I tend to push too hard or far and not allow a rest day, and either I will get an injury or I will get sick.

I am glad you are feeling better and back on track! :D

What a Day! It has been raining all day long & it's freeezing. It's was so cold when I went out, nose got numb. I really looked like Rudolph the raindeer. nose was as red & shiney as his. I think the "ice" made it light up . Well, before I left, I had the ham & string cheese wrap...YUMM! Will do it again. Will try the lettuce next time (didn't have any this morning). For lunch, hubby asked me out?! I guess love is in the air . I ordered grilled chicken w/ grilled veggies, salad & bowl of fruits & 1 bottle of water. hubby had Yellow rice, beans & pork chops (nothing healthy :(. But why spoil the moment? After we finished, the waiter said to hubby: Where her food goes? She is so skinny and she ate a lot!? He left and hubby said in a lower tone: I know where... favorite places . What ? I get it! He wants some loving :D! I think is the cold weather...Anyways, it was a nice short lunch. Got home at 4:30 & started making dinner...soup. I also made brown rice, steak, cannelini beans & salad w/ avocado. I had a little bit of everything ( portions) & 1 bottle of water. Now, ready to do just abs (6 min. video) & a video cousin lend me (disco abs?) I think I'll be dancing w/ John Travolta! For snack: planing to have a mango smoothie w/ protein....let see how the combination taste. Will tell you tomorrow. By the way...THANKS FOR THE GET WELL WISHES :D!

Out of politeness, I must decline such apologies because they are not needed. You are after all posting what you post, to largely keep yourself accountable. We expect nothing more than what you give, but we will respond in a deserving manner when you do :).

The main thign is to keep going, chin up, be strong and no worries.

You're doing great, so be proud and good luck.

Today Sunday, was cleaning day as always. Clean, clean and clean. Changed the smell on pug ins. I had Hawaiian breeze before, now its vanilla. It smells very homey. Worked every inch of body today with all that bending, pushing, lifting, etc. Cleaned out the closets. Put all the summer clothes in & all the winter coats, sweaters, etc. out. Loove it! Love wearing tight jeans, nice sweater and high heel boots.I feel like catwoman, alter ego . Well, after all that cleaning, it was time to prepare dinner. kids were playing soccer (are they crazy?..it's freezing!) and hubby and I were ALONE in the house :D . So, I decided to make dinner wearing shorts & black boots . He liked the dinner...and me :D. Later the kids came, ate & we all decided to have a little competition. Turned the Wii on & LET"S THE GAME BEGIN! We played boxing, skating, soccer, OMG! it was exhausting. But I pretty much beat them at everything, even soccer . hubby & oldest son wanted a rematch. They couldn't belive it. Honestly, I couldn't either. But it was FUN. Besides all that crazy activity, day went like this:
Breakfast: Oatmeal w/ eggwhites & 1 cup of water
Workout: Cleaned heart out, but smells good & body aches
Snack: string cheese w/ 1 slice of ham & 1 slice of turkey & 1 bottle of water
Lunch: Egg white omelette specialty w/ whole wheat bread & 1/2 cup d. pepsi & 1 cup of water
drank 1 bottle of water (very thirsty) & munch on few grapes
Snack: 2 teaspoon of peanut butter w/ 5 strawberries
Dinner: Chicken cordon blu (homemade) w/ everything low fat. (lots of banging-got all stress out ) w/ brown rice, mashed potatoes & big salad w/ 1 slice of avocado & 1 bottle of water
Workout: played Wii resorts & ravin rabbids (lots of fun & a really good workout)
Now, posting and thinking how to start weekly exercise & menu plan. Weigh in is soon, so need to get some results :D

Keep it up

Regarding your computer... Try to get an external hard drive. You can save your pics & important docs there.
So next time if your computer ever crash... You have a backup.

Thanks Nokie for the advice. Will look for prices over the internet or wait for a good sale. It's heartbreaking when you loose all your pictures & don't have copies of them. Big mistake . But learned lesson. Already installed a good antivirus. Anyways, today was TEMPTATION day. Unfortunately, I discovered that mocha latte love is more of an addiction . A friend and I had lunch today and decided to pass by Dunkin Donuts (she has a donut addiction). When we got there I decided NOT to ordered a mocha, but OMG!, hands started to sweat, eyes where looking for the whip cream & I started to have hallucinations . A giant Mocha latte was chasing me, poking me with the straw and begging to be sipped...Ok, I'm exaggerating a little, but I imagined it. So, CONFESION: Had the Mocha latte...It was heavenly, YUMM X 3 :D. At least I added a scoop of protein powder & walked around 7 blocks . I even made friend power walk, she looked like she was melting . But she enjoyed it & even said she will do it again...not the donut, the exercise. Well, second TEMPTATION was tonight. hubby brought me a giant chocolate sundae w/ strawberrie & whip cream on a sugar cone. I had two teaspoon . CONFESSION: Wanted to swallow the whole thing up, but didn't . WOW! glad that's over. I guess temptations are made to proof your inner strength, and it showed me that when it comes to mochas I'm pretty weak. But I'm trying to avoid them...I have for the past week? Can remember last one. But I will survive....at least with 1 a week . Anyways, day went like this:
Breakfast: Cream of wheat (farina) & added eggwhites to it (tasted good) & 1 cup of water
Workout: Lower body (squats, lunges, side lunges, leg lifts, kick backs) legs & thigh were burning & I felt butt growing . ALRIGHT!
Snack: 10 grapes, mixed nuts (1/4 cup) & 1" piece of string cheese (not into string cheese much) & 1 cup of water
walked 7 blocks to Dunkin donuts (very slow) & 7 blocks back (power walking-were running a little late!)
Lunch: Mocha latte w/ skim milk, lite whipped cream & 1 scoop protein powder mixed (YUMM, YUMM, YUMM)
Snack: grapes (8) & 1 slices of ham & 1 of turkey & 1 cup of water
Dinner: Grilled chicken salad w/ sprinkled shredded skim mozarella cheese & skim chedar (teaspoon of each) & 6 olives & 1 slice of avocado. Drizzle a little vinegar over it. 1 bottle of water & 1 cup of mixed fruits.
Workout: Jackie 1 on 1 core (getting a little bored) & the disco abs (didn't do it last time) 1 bottle of water
Will return the disco abs (didn't like it much) and will try the TAE BO video. friend, who lend me the disco abs, has it & will exchange it. Pretty hyped! Heard cool things about it. Can wait to try it. Will let you know how it went :D. Tomorrow...WEIGH IN DAY . VERY NERVOUS :?

The BEST time to buy electronics is Friday after Thanksgiving (Next month) its call BLACK FRIDAY… the biggest sale. I remember when I was in college I stayed in line at 2AM waiting for the store to open at 6AM (LONG LINE) People are already in line since 8PM the night before!! ( stupid computer engineering friends)
Now since I’m working… I rather sleep in at 2AM. However, you can get good deals online too!!! A lot of black Friday sales are posted on line… So you don’t have to waste your time waiting…Also, just started up recently (Cyber Monday sales). Monday after Thanksgiving…. Yup, that’s where I get all 4 external hard drives & etc… So… just an FYI if you’re looking for good deals.

Update us on your weight in :D

Hi Nokie! I knew about black Friday, but NOT that special sales are offered online & much less about cyber Mondays. That's awesome to know, THANKS! Will do. Will save me time & a frozen butt . TODAY IS WEIGH IN DAY. I'm 131lbs   WHAT? I honestly thought I had lost at least 2lbs. But I'll take it (have no choice). It means I have to work harder & tweak a little food choices. Starting w/ MOCHAS . Also, I notice that the ham I eat for breakfast has a high amount of sodium, so i'll be replacing it with a better ham. Or...maybe use more turkey instead. But i love ham. Also, cut a little more on the d. pepsi & drink more water. exercise have been better & intense. Have been using the 5lbs weights. Feel arms a little stronger. I also have notice legs are getting a little stronger too. Need to add more running in program. Haven't done much since the weather changed. But today has been a nice & sunny day. Great to run until legs fall out . Just kidding :D. Anyways, have to go. Will post tonight, unless lungs & legs fall out .

If you experience a little Muscle gain with Fat loss, then you'll see very little change in weight, but he important thing is that body composition is going in the right direction.

What you shouldn't do is go gung-ho on the running. If you increase running too much you'll potentially sabotage results, if you don't eat enough to support it, and the muscle you have gained might start to go, prompting a potential dip in Metabolic ability, and a return of some stored Fat.

Thank you guys! I get what your saying. I didn't loose much, but I tried on a blouse ( favorite) & it's loose & tight at the biceps. As for the jeans, I wore skinny jeans & they were loose at the waist and the butt area looked pretty nice :D. About the running...I'm not a big runner. I usually end up huffing & puffing after a few minutes, but I try to push myself without over doing it. Honestly, I rather do walking with intervals (brisk, sprints, etc.) instead of running. Besides walking ( favorite), I have a new found love for jumping (jacks, rope...), squats, planks & lifting weights . I find myself looking at the miror more often & even flexing , something I NEVER did before. I look weird doing it, but it's also funny. I tried on the little sexy outfit I'm planning to wear on December (remember?..christmas gift for hubby?) Well, it's looking Ok. Stiil need lots of work, cause I want it to look VAVAVOOM :D. Sometimes I imagine hubby's face & I laugh & get a little blush...not menapause . Make me wanna work extra hard. This morning I felt extremely happy (maybe the mocha from the day before?). Got kids & hubby ready & weigh myself. Honestly, I felt a little disappointed. I was expecting 2lbs difference. But I had a nice breakfast & all pitifulness went away. I decided to make a few adjustments in food choices & workout program and hope to loose a little more fat next time & gain a little more definition in muscles. I have been drinking more water than before, but need to up the amount. So, this evening, I went to the supermarket & bought 2 gallons of water, turkey slices, 2 slices of salmon (3 oz each), Big bag of green salad, red peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach & guess what...asparagus. Have decided to add a big bowl of salad to lunch & dinner & everytime I make specialty omelette, throw a little more veggies. Also, will be trying to drink 1 bottle of water per meal (very nervous, not used to drinking so much water) & only 1 cup of d. pepsi per day (only when I have eggs) remember? can eat eggwhites unless I drink d. pepsi (makes me ill). I also haven't been eating tuna fish much (got scared w/ the mercury info), but will do at least 2x per week. Anyways, will let you know as I go. day went like this:
Got up: very happy (mocha residue from day before ) KIDDING! & weigh in
Breakfast: Oatmeal w/ eggwhite & 1/2 banana & 1 cup of water
Workout: Upper body (arms, biceps, triceps, shoulders, chest & back- 3 sets 20 reps-5lbs weights) & abs & core (regular plank, side plank, twisting knee plank, bicycle, crunches, pilates 100's (only did 50) & 60 squats (u know...for booty)
Snack: 1/4 cup 1% cottage cheese w/bits of pineapples & 1/4 cup of sunflowerseeds
Lunch: Big salad (lettuce, tomatoes, 6 olives, shredded skim mozarella & chedar (2 teaspoon), 1 teaspoon l. italian & 1/2 teaspoon of l. mayo & 1 bottle of water
Snack: 1/2 banana, 8 grapes & 1 teaspoon of peanutbutter & 1 cup of water
Dinner: Big bowl of salad (like lunch), but added 1 slice of avocado, 1 slice of turkey (shredded) & 1/4 cup of canellini beans (YUMM) & 1 bottle of water
Workout: Warmed up by walking twice around the track, ran 1 lap (huffing & puffing) & Played soccer w/ family (2 hours)
Snack: 1/2 protein powder strawberry shake & 1 cup of water (thirsty)
Got home, wash dishes & now posting. Ready to shower & go to bed. I GOTTA FEELING, THAT TOMORROW WILL BE A GOOD DAY... :D

brentyboy...Welcome & thank you for reading journal/progress. I'll be taking measurements on Friday (10/23) & will post the "old" measurements too. You and Lesplease are right! should concentrate on loosing the FAT. Right now the scale is not friend :(. Anyways, will take advice & gladly receive all the positive vibes that comes this way :D. One minor correction: is Newmami (I'm a girl-at least at heart). But hey! not offended at all :D. All comments, advices & suggestions are very appreciated.
New Discovery: LIKE sweet & low sugar & it's cheaper (50 packs for 99 cents). cream of wheat & oatmeal taste better & only used 1 pack. I was using 3 packs w/ splenda & 1 stevia, but didn't taste sweet. Will continue to use stevia (have 7 packs left). Also notice that "bat wings" (triceps) are not that floppy as they used to. Very happy about that. I have big arms (bicep/tricep area). QUESTION: How can I make it skinny/tight? I have been doing dips, bicep/triceps curls, etc. but a guy friend told me I need to loose the fat first instead of lifting because they'll get bigger and that the only way to loose the fat is either by running or loosing more weight  . Is that right? I thought that by lifting weight I burn more fat :?. PLEASE HELP!! Well, have to go. Dr's. appointment. Will post later...But first, guess who's exercising with me today? hubby . Cross your fingers!!!
