Confessions: Things you won't tell your mother.

Post by Packard »

Here's confession:

I exercise heavier when I find I'm having trouble falling asleep at night. As I get older I apparently need less sleep (I always got 8 or 9 hours), so I've added some more time in the gym. At some point in the future I will be exercising the same amount of time as I sleep. I suppose this is sort of a "sleep bulimia"--but it seems to help. (Don't tell mother.)

So what's your confession?

I pretend non-stick pans are actually well-seasoned cast iron pans. I never wash them at all. I just wipe them out.

(Does your evil stepmother use soap? You could black mail her if you caught her skipping the soap thing.)

A few times when I wanted to wear a favorite shirt and it hadn't been washed yet, I put it in the dryer for a few minutes with a scented dryer sheet. Spruces it right up! (I've done this for husbands shirts too, but don't tell him!) This process has doubled as "ironing board" too! 8)

Funny, that's something that I learned from mother. I wonder if her mother knew!

I live by this rule.

You're a student; you have no rules. Most especially regarding laundry (this is, of course, a generalization and not directed explicitly at Lesplease).

Ok heres mine...

I work as an insurance agent. I work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week. For every 8 hours that I'm at work I spend between 2 and 4 hours on shapefit chatting with you guys and pretty much killing time. I'm quite possibly the worst insurance agent in the world and really don't care for job.. however I love customers, boss, and coworkers and at this time there really isn't anything else out there so here I sit (i'm at work right now). This morning i've been here since 8:15 and have done nothing but eat oatmeal and read shapefit posts (it is now 10am). I like to think that while i make a terrible insurance agent... I'd make a darn good personal trainer someday and started studying for test again this week and am planning on taking it this spring if i can stay motivated enough to get through the materials. I should mention that i've had personal trainer study materials for 7 years now and still haven't taken the test.

So thats confession.

Cassie :)

LOL! Oh I wouldn't tell either of them! mother raised me to be a hardworking, loyal, individual. If she knew I was coming to work everyday and playing on some forum she'd whip me for sure!

How long are you overdue in letting her know?

This could be a problem. Has your fiance told his parents? When your mom meets his parents are they going to remember not to let on that they knew about the engagement 6 months sooner than your mom did? Oooo. Problems. I see problems.

Send a telegram:

Dear Mom [stop] Got engaged [stop] Just thought you might be interested [stop] Love [stop] Nokie [end]

Well… Let’s just say… You guys/gals at shapefit found out before the parents (both side)
We hope to break the news by the end of the year or beginning of next year!

But I’m really considering the telegram idea… Seems less personal…. I like!
