That's it!!! Thats what I've been needing to make mine sweeter. We use vanilla soy milk at home, so it will be easy to try it out.
If yo would have told me last year that a year later I would be sitting at computer on a Friday night discussing the fine tunings of oatmeal and actually being all pumped up about it, I would have said you were crazy!! Ha! It's great isn't it!! We are a unique group to say the least!

You are too funny... Why didn't you share this with us earlier??
Trying to keep us from your little candy retreat???
LOL! I don't want you guys to know ALLL dirty little secrets!

BUT, I wanted to tell you that I made the Steel Cut Oats this morning WITH egg whites for the first time - a bowl for hubby too! I included 1/2 sliced banana, of course the pumpkin pie spice and some light vanilla soy milk for sweetness - I thought it was yummy!!! Next time I think I'll add some peanut butter! Thanks!
OH YAYAYYAYAYAYYAYAYAYAYYAYAYYAYAYAYYAYAYAYY!!! I'm so excited that you tried the oats and eggwhites! OH next time you have to try peanut butter in their too! Its heavenly! Great idea on the soymilk! What did your husband think of your little concoction? Every morning when boss sees me putting eggwhites in oatmeal I swear I can see him fighting the urge to throw up. LOL! I'll admit I get great joy from seeing him turn green just from looking at food.
Eating Chocolate is hardly a dirty little secret. Now if you'd been doing it whilst rolling naked in some hay, that would have been perhaps a dirty little secret .
Lesplease: It drives me absolutely insane that your father eats your food. Everytime you mention that I want to fly over there and give him a piece of mind! This has to be biggest petpeeve and i get hostile just thinking about your dad eating your food. Honestly, when fiance eats food I really want to break his knee caps.. I get that irritated!
Bossman: Eating chocolate is not a dirty secret... however eating 20 fun sized candy bars and bags of m&ms over the course of 30 minutes really is!
Ironwill: Well since I'm telling all here the day after the competition I also had: a huge bowl of oatmeal, pasta, 4 bowl of salad, 1/2 a slice of cheesecake (couldn't get all of it down or else i would have), a BUNCH of chocolate, and 1 full large sized back of cheddar flavored sunchips. The sunchips *almost* made me throw up however I persevered. The next day I felt like CRAP and fingers were the size of sausages after eating all those chips (sodium). However, I did have an AWESOME workout that day.

Oh its amazing how awful unhealthy food can make you feel! Prior to last weekend, I had been on a pre-contest diet for 23 weeks. This was an incredibly strict eating plan, which became even more strict as I got closer to the show. By the month before the show I DREAMING of food (ice cream, pasta, chocolate) and would actually space off at work thinking about all of the toppings I would put on ice cream after getting done with the competition. Its funny though, after the competition when i finally allowed myself to have junk food again, it really didn't taste as good as i'd remembered. And I'd spent the past month dreaming about ice cream and once I could have it, it really wasn't that big of a deal. Didn't even have any! With that said, on one day off I knew that i was going to be jumping back in to contest diet the next day so I made it a point to eat anything and everything that i wanted. It probably sounds weird, but i almost wanted to remind myself of how crappy i feel when i don't eat healthy... that and i knew this next month of dieting was going to be pure hell and wanted to get all cravings out of system. But boy did I ever feel terrible after eating all that unhealthy food! poor stomach didn't even know what to do with all the salt, carbs, and sugar I was taking in! Just wish more people would understand how much better they could feel if they would just make some simple changes to their diets and everyday routines.

nauseous.
Also: "Where's" or "where is".
I try to leave pedant hat at home when I visit this site. Ironwill at least is making an attempt at good grammar and spelling (and he watches his caps and lower case too--not bad).

Oh man! typing must drive you absolutely NUTS then because I'm sure I always have typos and spelling errors. Just to let you know... I'm not an absolute door knob when it come to spelling and grammar... I'm usually on here while at work and try to type as fast as possible so i can answer posts and still get work done... so usually don't go back and check for errors.
