Yeah but I'm and weigh 92kgs, makes a big difference.

Just curious, but what are you buying at the grocery store?
Re: How much money do you spend on food/supplements per week?
Hey - $250 per week is low for me! It seems everytime I go to the gym (which is at least 5 times per week I wander over the the Biy Y next door and buy fresh fruits & veggies, chicken, fish, whatever....... protein is only $15 for a fairly good size container.
Les? $21??? You can't buy enough milk, FF for $21? At $40-$50 what are you eating every day? I'd love to spend less.....so I am truly curious.
Let's look at it broken down by day - I'll have to save some of grocery bills becasue I have no idea what each item costs. But I find it very expensive to eat clean - worth it though!

For protein I buy alot of tinned tuna and a little salmon. Also chicken and steak. Note the tinned fish can save alot of $$$$.
Got into tnto the habit of putting tomato sauce on it when eating it straight probably not Ideal, but tastes alot better.
Carbs I buy rice, potatoes, pasta (good protein here too). As well as fruit and veges, though don't buy many veges as grow abit.

Okay more questions...
Are you buying pre-cut veggies and fruits?
How much protein are you buying? And eating in one sitting?
How much rice and pasta are you buying at once?
Is the bulk of that money going into supplements?
And finally, how many calories are you trying to get into one day?
There are always ways to cut costs. Eating clean does not have to be expensive. In fact, if done right it costs about equal to spending all of your money on processed foods. Sure, buying raw meat is going to be more expensive than a fast food hamburger, but over a month you really shouldn't be spending drastically more than you would if you weren't eating clean. There are a couple ways of cutting costs - buying in bulk (rice and pasta and potatoes) - reevaluating how much protein you actually need and/or changing the types of protein you're eating - frozen veggies and fruits - cutting out unnecessary supplements or shopping around etc. etc. etc.
I'll get off soapbox now

Les, you are hero. What protein do you have?
Re: How much money do you spend on food/supplements per week?
i'd about that but if your having 2kgs of powdr a month you're having too many or too much...takes me 2mths at least to get through that much
Re: How much money do you spend on food/supplements per week?
I buy a 3lb'er tub, and that takes me about 5-6 weeks, as I don't use it every day, and don't ever use max doses. If I maxed on the doses every day, I'd be through it in about 2 weeks.
1.9Kg is 4.18lbs, so in a month, you're definitely going through too much Thrash.

Re: How much money do you spend on food/supplements per week?
I probably use on average 1 scoop (25g) per day, some days none, weight days twice, so I don't spend that much on protein.
I forgot though - spend is for 2 people, not just one. I also buy 2 for 1 chicken, fresh fish - hardly eat any potatoes or rice , eggs and Weetabix - 4 oz snack packs of low fat cottage cheese, cheese sticks, and yogurt. I do buy organic (for example organic milk is twice the reg stuff) whenever possible which contributes a little to higher costs. Weetabix is $5.98 a box! I bought 4 the other day on sale 2 for $7. The Big Y was discontinuing Weetabix until I asked them not to and then they put it on sale!
Lots of fresh veggies and fruit everyday of course....then cans of tuna/chicken breast in water, canned tomatoes..occasional pasta, oatmeal.
Question? Organic Milk has a long expiration date, sometimes a month or more out. So, it doesn't spoil, it's ultra pasturized - so doesn't it contain stuff that's not good for ya???

Thanks all, yeah I know I over do it, but hey I'm down to lifetime goal of below 15% body fat (currently 12-13).
def gotta cut back abit on food/supplements though, money isn't the problem, its simply an addiction for me
