Re: Newbie Gains???!!!
Yeah, bad posture is one of the things I am trying to work on at the gym...I have a natural spinal curve that I've had since youth, which I cannot change, but with stengthening back I can correct some of the postural problems I've had in the past. posture really changed after pregnancy with daughter (who is almost 9 now!), so it's time to correct some bad habits.

Re: Newbie Gains???!!!
everyone has a natural lorditic curve, that is not natural
if i was you i would:
- not load the spine at all meaning no squats with a bar on your back or shoulder presses where the bar is over your head
- i would eliminate all shoulder pressing, chest work and quad work for 8 weeks instead opting for back work, glute work, hamstring work and core work...you'll probably see a positive body change with this anyway
- stretch hip flexors and quads which may or may not be tight...usuaslly with chicks it can be a matter of simpe weakness and inhibition of the muscles
- eliminate anything that hyperextends the lower back in your life (low back stretch where you push your upper up towards the roof, bending backwards at the waist etc)
you're still young enough to manage this to a decent amount so i'd get onto it straight away or in 10yrs you're back will be so bad you'll be lucky to walk properly
being a little grim there but you get the picture
