Upper body Vs Lower Body
Hi, I have been working out for about a month after few months break due to surgery...I have been realizing that lower body is much bigger and muscular than upper body...I'm thinking about doing the 3-day waterbury method (full body) workout from monday, but I don't want lower body getting any bigger and upper body staying the same...Any suggestions?
Re: Upper body Vs Lower Body
well waht do you weant to happen? the body grows bigger all ove, not in 1 spot...it's hard to imagine anyone with legs so big they don;t want them any bigger and then thinking they're upper body is way to small...it's usually the other way around
just because your legs are "big" doesn't mean they are muscley and strong

Continue with a balanced workout for the next several months. Train all body parts with equal intensity.
After 6 months you should evaluate your body and then you can make adjustments to meet your expectations.
But it is probably too early to make that emphasis until you've been training for about 9 to 12 months.
Stick with a balanced workout and your body might also balance out too.
Remember, even when you were not training, your legs were lugging around your body weight every day. So your upper body has some catching up to do. Give it time.

Re: Upper body Vs Lower Body
you lift the most wt with your lower body so obviously you want to keep them in or you'll never get bigger

First I'd say be thankful--it's a problem a lot of guys would love to have.
Next I'd say don't worry about a completely "balanced" physique until you've been lifting a while. You can spend more time on lagging body parts once you've really put some time in building a foundation.

Here's a good idea for you for a better view of yourself
take body measurements... where and how can be found on this site
2 have someone else take pics of you from front back and side.. How you look at yourself will surely change!!!
redue this every month and you can better evaluate your appearance and progress.
cheers
