Nah elliptical is mph also..goes up to 12 or 16 on resistance levels tho...I am using no resistance on intervals, I guess I just need to slow sprints down, anyway Im off to do the thing ;)

Is that 12 mph? What speed do you do the sprint at? Gosh Woman! If you were doing your 20 minutes at 12mph that is a 5 minute mile = 4 miles!

sprints were at 12 mph, then easy at abt 5 + but seems I need to keep that under excessive speed, so today I did :)

1 - don;t worry about any heart rate zone - just go as hard as you can then drop it back to half pace

2 - now that we've cut the amount of intervals from 6 to 3, increase the speed of the intervals from 8 to 10 - 12

Unbelievable Lynne - you've definitely got great core strength with the push ups you do! I did burpees (without full push ups) when I was doing Troy's program and I thought I would die! Never again could I do them, not sure how I did the first time. You did four different push up variations! Wasn't it you (and obviously me) who wasn't doing planks not too far in the past? I'm truly impressed!!! When you put your mind to something you get it done!

Hope your son is back to normal.
Take care.

thanks Lu! I added an extra set to the pushups today, really pushed myself - 134 pushups total! I didnt realize it was that much! That's crazy!! But pairing the sets with other exercises helped to ease the load. The squats and lunges were killer - not liking the sound left knee makes - but that is just age and too many years of running, so I will just live with it. And that last 1 minute plank...I was shaking like nobody's business!! I almost didn't make it!
Feel good, back is a little twingy, but nothing a good nights rest won't cure.
yes, son is better :D , he is going back to school tomorrow, so I can go back to work.
Have a great evening and day everyone! :D

134 push ups in 1 session - not great there...i couldn't quite see 134 back reps there either

yes there was some back stuff there but considering you lift about 70% of your bodyweight for every push up rep and your pairs are only 31pd face pulls and 5pd scarecrows, you're nowhere near balancing out the shoulder girdle and are really only making it worse then wehat it is without training

oops! I got the same message when I did 105 squat variations. Guess we need to moderate what we apparently "like" to do, more not always being the best. Are you sure you're not a Virgo like me?

Can you explain please?

Yes, I guess we do tend to focus on what we can do well. But honestly when I was doing workout yesterday, I had no idea I had done that many. I think adding the extra set was too much. I'm just "shootin' in the dark" most of the time anyway, no clear idea of what I'm supposed to do, how to do it, how many to do, etc. It can be very frustrating  But I'll keep plugging away, I figure at the most that doing "something" is better than "nothing" and at least it keeps me out of the cupboards searching for chocol...., no I'm not even gonna say the word (but you know what I mean) :D have a great day everyone :)

I loooove squats! And just yesterday I found out (read) that if you have muscular legs you don't want to do squats as they will make your thighs bigger!!! Ack!!! I was trying to get rid of thunder thighs! But I agree, doing too much (as long as we don't hurt ourselves) is MUCH BETTER than being a couch potato and hitting the chocolate stash!

We can't let a bit of over indulgence get us down :)
