cardio before weight training ?

cardio before weight training ?

would it be better to do your cardio before or after your weight training if you were to do them in the same day . Or even the same trip to the gym

I prefer separate trips, but when I could not I always did cardio after the weight training. Otherwise I lost too much of lifting edge.

I think it depends on what is more important to you. If the cardio is more important, then do it first as the lifting will knock the edge off the cardio.

I personally would do weights first if I was going to train them the same day. I don’t want cardio to mess up weight training strength. goal is to gain muscle so I do cardio after weights to stretch and walk it out.

I will add to all the others. Cardio last.

If you do cardio first , it can take from the intensity of your weight training because your wore out.

It really depends on what your priorities are. The weight lifting can take away intensity for your cardio too.

(I'm with you on this, but others might be more into running or rowing that into lifting.)

no cardio last because if you do cardio before weight lifting your gonna lose glycogen for energy and you'll be worn out and your muscles might not get the energy they need.
