I enjoy talking about it too, unfortunately everyone around me at work is the polar opposite. On their lunch break they are discussing which fast food burger/taco whatever place they are going to go eat at and I go downstairs to the gym.... and they wonder why the feel like crap all day after eating that garbage. Fortunately for me significant other is also personal trainer we talk about it daily

husband and I go to the gym, work out together and share the same goals. That is a huge plus and we are always talking about fitness, our progress and encouraging one another. We are having a blast!

wife is on the train now and has lost 22 pounds so far. I have made to to 40 pounds from 225 to 185 with only five more to go. Anyway, I know some of the people pretty well she works with. They told her that I didn't need to lose anymore weight cause I am starting to look scrawny. I am in no way scrawny. In fact, legs and arms have never looked better.
They get mad at her cause she won't go out and eat with them anymore and tell her that not eating in not healthy. Funny thing is, she eats between 1400 and 1800 everyday. Sometimes a little more.

It's basically a little ignorance mixed with selfishness.
You and her can be proud of yoursleves. After all those work people don't live in yours or your wifes skin, so it's not yours or your wifes body issues, they have been dealing with in the past.
Shows to me, they lack a bit of maturity about this. Their loss, if they can't be educated.
You and your wife sound like a good team. Your little one, will benefit from that parental harmony, and if you and the wife benefit, from a little more emotional and mental improvement along the way, it's good for all three of you.
So live for you where this is concerned, not anyone else. You both are doing great. Keep supporting each other and i'm sure your little one will one day, be proud of the both of you, like you will of her.

brother chooses not to recognize me too.teppum42 wrote:... but I want to tell someone!
I just bought a size of jeans that I haven't worn since high school...
and yesterday own brother didn't recognize me at first (he hasn't seen me in 4 months, since I started lifestyle change).
Gonna keep going! But it's nice to have stepping stones of progress.
A while back I also lost a good bit of weight. When people would ask me how much I lost I would invariably say, "In order to brag about how much I lost I would have to confess to how much I gained. Since I'm in no mood to confess, I'm not going to brag."
It is so much more effective to have people imagine how much you lost.
By the way have you updated your personal stats here? Is that number (weight) current? Or are you in no mood to confess?
