DrinkFit - Beer, Cocktails, and Liquor Nutrition Facts

Post by Lkurtis »

I just saw a new application for iPhones that was released today on the app store in the health & fitness category. It is called DrinkFit and has nutritional information for alcoholic beverages. It seems pretty cool so far since I try to avoid beers heavy on carbs when I'm with friends. Thought you guys would be interested

Anyway the website is http://www.drinkfitapp.com

Thanks! I love drinking! I hate that you can only drink in small doses! It sucks!

LOL, when drinking in excess it is not much different from taking drugs......

Using such substances alters ones reality, therefore indicating that one has issues with themselves and their life. Utilizing these means, rather than helpful measures such as counsiling, hard work, friendships and excercise (yes, I said excercise... it produces and releases natural endorphins within the body that make you feel better about yourself and your situation in life... acceptance of sorts or a drive to do more.)

Almost everyone will overindulge but doing so once a week or a couple times a month is really a problem. Many may say I'm wrong but it is opinion.

Granted, when I was younger, I tied one on on a regular basis. About 11 years ago it started being a couple of times a year. For the past 3, I have drank alcohol but have never became drunk. When given a choice, 99% of the time I choose a virgin drink over alcohol. It is a choice, it is a type of lifestyle, it is a measure of self control and a measure (in opinion) of ones ability to accept and work within reality.

I guess this was kinda preachy, sorry.

Alcohol has 7 calories per gram.... carbs and protein have 4, fat has 9. If I'm going to be taking in these calories I would rather A) take them in in a form of food that is going to help me better body and myself B) take them in in a form that is going to taste soooo good that its worth the extra calories. In opinion, alcohol just doesn't taste good enough to be worth the calories... Plus, I've seen LOTS of poeple (including myself) make horrible decisions while drinking. I also used to tie one off a few times a month however as I've grown older I've realized that its just not for me. I'd rather have chocolate cake and M&MS if I'm going to be taking in those calories.

Mmmmm.. chocolate cake.........

Eat Steak. Good calories, and better than booze.

It's harder for some not to have a few than others. I rarely drink during the week anymore. I don't NEED the alcohol but now that nfl and college football season has started (!) and a group goes out to watch the game, it's always nice to have a drink with some friends. It's not the best decision making but I "tie one on" (as used by the forum) once a weekend if at all. For some reason in head that feels like it's not as bad for me...

I'm not accusing or calling names, but if being with friends requires tying one on, they aren't friends. If you or your friends can't accept you without the alcohol, are they friends. Other than changing your emotional and phsychological state, what does alcohol really do?

..... it puts useless calories in your system, destroys body cells and brain cells (some people should be protecting these as much as possible!!), alcohol also dehydrates you're body causing other problems. Besides making poor decissions and sometimes not knowing what you did and making you disregard circumstances and making one a social outcast, I guess tying one on because its "fun" is alright.

If someone doesn't like me while I drink water, coffee, tea or juice, guaranteed they won't like me drunk! Besides, I got a better chance of remembering that hot girl and where she wrote her number for me if I'm not drinking

oh well, to each their own, personally I'd be at cassie's table mouch'n on her cake, offering her a glass of milk to go with it. Of course that would be after I shared a really good steak with some sauteed mushrooms and peppers with bossman. :D

Cheers

As Vamp puts it, "hot Women", are all he gets when he's sober, because getting drunk means getting with women he thinks are like that, only to wake up realising the Beer played tricks on him .

When you compare the cost of Beer to Fruit Juice, waking up next to unsuitable females, that would have been idenitied as such when sober, is an expensive mistake to make.

Strangely though, some men never learn from that lesson :? .
