Who does?

There may be some foods that could conceivably have an effect on the Thyroid, which is connected to growth hormones, but most growth in humans is genetic, and programmed in your DNA from birth, though other factors like healthy Bone development, and having conditions like Muscular Dystrophy, Spinabifida, Motor Neurone etc etc, that debilitate the muscles and / or Nerves and / or Bones, will be a factor in whether you grow, or can grow properly in the first place.

I know that sleeping for 9-11 hours a day is supposed to help a lot, but i'm not sure if that would help since you're 16...

Sleeping actually lengthens the Spine, by about 3cm, I think it's Cm not Inches, as standing upright slightly compresses the Spine, from the weight of the Human Head.

However this horizontal lengthening of the Spine occurs in Adult life too, and is not permanent, otherwise gaining said height every 24 hours, would make people roughly, about 3-4 times the height of a T-Rex Dinosaur, by the age of 18, were that to be the case.

Though yes, sleeping can encourage Bone growth to some extent in healthy childhood circumstances.

I would assume upto a point. I don't think going beyond a certain level of sleep, would continue to stimulate more growth, I think the body would have a limit.

Growth spurts are to a certain extent though, connected to to the Thyroid, and your Growth Hormones, and Testosterone levels.

Sleep is a part of that to some extent, but I'm pretty sure it is not the primary factor in childhood growth.

18-21.

However apart from the usual things like Hair, Nails etc etc, a few other things continue to grow, such things being the Ears and Nose.

I don't know why that is though.

Well, I heard you do get taller when you sleep, and it's true, but once you wake up, you go back to how you were.

Plus, I took in bio that the bone is an alive part of our bodies, it actually changes, and reshapes ( i forgot the process name, tho)

For me, 2 years ago I was 158 cms
NOW, i went back 156..and couple of months I back up to 157.

It's sorta scary, but It's possible...cause our bones rearrange themselves.
If im correct, Every 10 years or so, I don't know. Don't count on info, I suck at remembering things, but either ways;

HANG on things, stretching and all helps. That was made us tall when we were kids, climbing, and haning into sticks or so.

I myself, is a bit hopeless from the "get" taller side.
