LOL! yeah, I didn't have much problem getting down to do the stretch, and it did feel good, but the getting back up part was the problem!

I think I like doing the diamond pushups for working the tri's alot better than the old boring tricep pressdowns, just feels like I am doing so much more! If you think about it....with a diamond pushup you are "pushing up" 60% or more of your body weight, but with a tricep press down I can only do like 30 to 40 lbs, so it just makes sense that (for me anyway) the pushup is the better strength exercise.

Thanks Swanso!
I have a goal set...a clear vision of what I want to achieve in the next year. I am absolutely determined to do what it takes to get there. I am encouraged by the weekly changes in strength and body, and am prepared to do whatever work is necessary! And NOTHING will stop this machine! :D
I want to run a marathon in April 2010. And I want to complete an Ironman Triathlon. That's dream. I'm 47 yrs. old - SO WHAT! Never look back, you can't change the past...only learn from it and be stronger for it. If I was to let age hold me back, then I might as well pack it in now and reserve spot at the old age home. Not this chick. 8)...I've got too much to do! :D

We're all proud of you and your accomplishments! No moss under your feet! I've got so much to catch up on, getting that gentle push - hey, not so hard - I'm going, I'm going :):)
Off to the gym - even though I'm aching all over :(

Thanks guys! I have to give myself a little "pep talk" every now and then to keep myself upbeat.
So on the days when I feel like crap and every muscle and joint is aching and I'm questioning why I'm doing all of this...I can look back on page 13 of journal and read post and all the encouraging words from you guys and say "Oh yeah!, THAT"S why!!!!" :D

Questioning it is good, as long as the answers aren't negative.

You have a lot to be proud of, and I am confident your goals are not beyond you.

Keep going and good luck.

Oh ...the Dive Bomber Pushup!

Well, you know I HAD to try one :? I did the "dive" part just fine, but once down there I had a little trouble reversing the move. But I am still a bit sore and weak from all those diamond pushups I did yesterday! I'll have to wait til I get stronger to add that one to the mix!
Thanks for the link tho' :D

I agree with Lesplease...it did hurt back just a tad (felt a twinge) in that arch position, when trying to "reverse" out. I assumed it was because of lack of technique and strength.

Well, I wouldn't rule it out completely. It is a matter of preference. Some may really like it. But the stress on the back has scared me away from it. :(
