Has anyone ever had any results from the fasting method? I'm on 7th day of zero carbs, zero sugars (natural or otherwise) and pretty much zero anything else. I consume 7 eggs in the morning and water throughout the day for the past week and thats it.. Now I know its not traditional 'fasting' but I'm doing so to force body into ketosis. So far it's working for me...
I also know that this isn't the smartest method of nutritional weight loss strategy and that its dangerous in some respect. I know some of you might not condone it or may even rip me apart for it but I'm really interested in knowing if anyone else has had success going this route?
I've lost 8lbs since last Saturday and a pant size. Ironically I feel great and have plenty of energy still, while continuing walking and weights.
Thoughts?

what are you trying to get from it? you shouldn't have gone 8 days without carbs...you would usually do 5 off/1 on or something with 3/1 being the best really
you should already be in ketosis and if you aren't, then there's carbs in your eating somewhere
i don't think it's wise reallly though, you've probably lost a lot of water and that's all and what are you gonna do to maintain it? not eat any carbs again?

I'm just trying to use the period to encourage the weight loss process. From what I understand, you can't go into ketosis by consuming carbs. Once I am done with this phase, I'll resume a maintenance diet that includes carbs and only do intermittent fasting from time to time.
Thanks for your input =)

Ketosis can be induced to some extent by some Carbs. Lets's face it, if you eat 300g Carbs a day, 50 per meal, and then you haved 30 a day, 5g per meal, you would get some kind of Ketosis, because you would be very Carb deprived, burning more Fat to compensate, then producing more Ketones.
You're right though, it is not a good thing to do, and I wouldn't advocate it, but you've started to do it, and understand what risk or problems might possibly result, so that's up to you.
Be aware though, when you add Carbs back in, you might get rebound of some weight.
