What was that video about? It was just crunches. From the music and camera movements I expected it to turn into a though. Haha. Would have made it more interesting to watch. Sorry but its true. :?

navymickey wrote:So im having a problem defining abs. i have what you would call washboard abs, but i want to define them into a 6 pack. ive been doing cardio quite a bit, but cant get them defined. i have a very strenuous ab routine but they just stay flat.

if any one has advice i would greatly appriciate it.
Like yourself i started with a slim frame and very little overall muscle. and like swanso5 mentioned washboard and six pack absare the same thing.

I used to have the same problem with abs, I now have amazing defination and much bigger midsection, the problem is that abs dont get overly big compared to most other muscle groups

I increased carbs to bulk up the area, reduced the fat and if you are not already add weight to the ab routine, if you need exercise suggestions just ask me and i will provide the info.

Some other things are dont forget the lower back and your should be around 6-9% to see your abs fully defined.

What exercise do you do and do you exercise all 6 muscle groups of the midsection, including transverse abdominals?

Do you hit the obliques using both a crunching movement as well as a twisitng movement?

Another great way to get great defination is to hit the abs with different angles thorughout the week, so i do abs 3 times a week and alternate the exercises each workout, so i get at least 3 difffent exercises per week on one section.

I hope this helps, if you need any further info then please do not hesitate to ask.

Oh dude i've been there. I basically rehauled diet and workout regimen. Try doing abs/obliques with weight plates or medicine balls 4 times a week. I'd avoid all pasta, cheese, bread, and any other source of carbs. + Don't kill yourself with cardio, i did cardio 4 times a week (30 mins on the treadmill) and tennis/basketball on the weekends. You could also try a fat burner, while you're trying out this routine. I took bsn's Atrophex for 6 weeks, while i was on the above mentioned routine and had a ripped torso by the end of it.

Give it a shot, it might work for you, but be sure to watch your diet.

So where's your proof the Fat Burner did anything at all?

Not being rude, but can you prove it did something at all to you, by not using someone else or some fancy industry stats as an example, or going by how you looked or felt on it, I'll be absolutely amazed.

Nobody who uses those, could ever say something like, if I hadn't used it, I definitely would have lost 80% of the weight, or taken exactly 8 weeks longer, as that's impossible to know.

Now the diet and exercise I could believe, but the Fat Burner actually having a healthy and worthwhile effect, that was worth the money, and won't result in weight rebound after use, would be harder to prove, than little green martians existing.

Sorry, just being honest as I respect you. Fact is some fat burners aren't worth a dime, the rest are plain bad for your health, even in acceptable doses.

Honestly, I'm not trying to diss you fella, but Fat Burners are plain crap.
