Abdominal muscles are just like other muscles. If you want them to be large and deep, use greater resistance. If you want them to be tight only, then lots of reps and lower resistance.

For reducing the size of the midsection most people will use light resistance and lots of reps. But if you want your six pack abs to be deeply chisled, then you need to have substatial resistance and lower reps.

It is your diet that will decide how well defined the midsection is.

Do interval type cardio 2 times a weak at about 20-30 minutes and 1 type of recreational cardio once a weak for about an hour or so. full body weights on opposite days, one complete day off. your diet (yes there is a problem with it, I guarentee). You use compound lifts like deads, squats, chin-ups, reverse rows and bench press... you don't need crunches or situps and that sort of thing, besides try variations of plank to strengthen your core.

You can never spot reduce fat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fat does not "change" into muscle!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You build up muscle which will burn more fat, thus reduce you're body fat! Or you change you're activity level and diet to reduce fat and maintain muscle mass.

Cheers

I'd suggest 2 days off a week, as I think 6 days, might be a little too much. That's just me though.

If you chose to do that. you could do something like this.

Day 1. Weights

Day 2. Cardio

Day 3. Weights

Day 4. Day off

Day 5. Cardio

Day 6. Weights

Day 7. Day off

You split the off days, and don't train more than 3 times in a row.

If you chose to add in a third Cardio session, I'd do it after the weights on Day 6, as you'd not be doing it again for 3 days. Having it after either of the other weights sessions, would reduce that gap between Cardio sessions to 1-2 days only.

I personally think that optional 3 Cardio session, done on that day, would be a more optimal place to put it, in a schedule like that.

I did standing cable crunch (30lbs) for 30 reps and 3 sets. I'm doing that everyday, so far I think it is working - but don't know if that's correct, since the result is not the best. I got no variation, only that.

Any suggestions?
