Bad girl

Post by rockchick_82808 »

Well the past week I didn't go to the gym at all.I keep reminding self that its ok. I had good reasons. grandma had knee surgery so I visited the hospital a lot. I just got promoted so body is trying to adjust to new routine. I may not get the chance to go this week either. Can't today bc packing for 2wk v-cay from the house then have work 2nite. Wed. I'll be goin to gma's house and help her for the day. The only day I will be able to go is Friday.

The purpose for this blog is to show that I have grown to accept that things come up. That just because things have gotten in the way for a couple weeks doesn't mean its the end of the world. In the past when stuff like that happened I would just give up and say screw it. Not today! :D

No, don't give up girl....just try to find a way to use the time you have for your benefit. Don't let not being able to get to the gym keep you from exercising. If you can squeeze in 15 or 20 minutes in the a.m. when you first get up, or any time during the day, maybe you could do some floor exercises (ab crunches, push ups, situps, leg lifts, etc.) or on any of those days you could find a spot where you can go for a power walk. I know that changes in schedule can really throw a person off and it is hard to find a balance again, it may be a bit challenging, but the rewards are SO beneficial. Not only physically but mentally too.
And remember even if you cannot control the circumstances of getting to workout, remember that you CAN control your food options. So if you miss a few days of working out, just try to counter it with continuing to make as healthy of a food choice as you can. I know that is especially difficult when you go on vacation, but it can be done (speaking from personal experience with all of this).
Good luck, I hope your Grandma gets better soon! You are very sweet for taking care of her :D

I agree with fitoverforty! Body weight exercise can be done quick & easy and at home! But if you really can’t do any exercise… Definitely watch what you eat! That doesn’t mean starve yourself… it means… eating every 2.5-3 hours. Picking the right food and not opt for easy, greasy fast food…

Hope your grandma gets better soon and good on you not giving up and moving on!

I’m proud of you woman! :D
