Overtraining! HELP!

Post by Evan »

I am 21 years old and am recovering from an eating disorder.
I am currently at 75 kilos, up from about 64 and am 5, 11.

I now eat 6 meals a day and never let myself get hungry, however I am training way too much because I am paranoid about getting fat again.

I get up at 5 am and do 200 sit ups, then go for a 40 min run and finish with jumping rope for 10 minutes.

Later in the day I will go to the gym (7 days a week), do abs for 15 minutes, heavy lifting for about and hour and then finish with cardio for 30 minutes at high intensity.

Then after dinner I usually do another 200 sit ups and finish with 30 minutes of body resistance weight training.

No matter how hard I try to take a break (day off), I just freak out that I am gonna lose six pack......it's driving me nuts! And I am so bloody stubburn.

I am also extremely hung up on carbs. I restrict them too much cause I am paranoid it will get converted to fat.

Is anyone else out there in the same boat?

The carbs are not going tobe converted to fat. They are giving you the energy you need to mvoe around, making your brain function properly, and many other things.

If you do not rest you will not see progress from your workouts and you will be muchmore prone to injury. And injury could prevent you from working out at all.

200 sit ups is not what is giving you a 6 pack. 200 sit ups is doing nothing but burning a few claories. It would be better to find an exercise that is more challenging.

stick with wt workouts but cut to 5/week and only 2 - 3 cardio sessions and cut out the rest and increase carbs you'll be fine
