No not exactly.
Interval training is where for example you go on an Exercise Bike, and set it at a setting, for example level 4. The bike then fluctuates the setting according to the time you are on it, so every 5,10,15,20 seconds or more, it alternates, the setting, so although you might start off on level 4, you may go any where from levels 3-5.
This means the body has difficulty adjusting to the Cardiovascular workload, as opposed to doing level 4 for the entire duration.
This interval principle works on pretty much any kind of Cardio machine, and is better for Fat loss, than ordinary regular Cardio, because the body finds it harder to adapt.
