[Diet] - Critique Please!

Post by kuroshiro »

Howdy everyone,

I posted in the other forum about weight loss goals and aspirations, and now I've taken over with dieting and nutrition. I'm currently 6'3" and weigh 184 lbs. goal is to get down to 170lbs with a toned body. I believe I'm on the right track. Here's some quick stats for you all:

Where I'm at and Where I wanna be
BMI: 23.5
Estimated Body Fat: 17.29% (I don't agree with this)

Now, according to the Food Guide Pyramid as well as some other calculations, I'm supposed to be consuming ~3200 based on height, weight, and activity level. In order to slim down, I've hacked off 1000 calories and have been trying to plan accordingly (around 2200). So, here's what I've had for the past three days:

July 18th
July 19th
July 20th

So, question is... do I appear to be giving myself a good balance of everything, or is carb level still sky high? I seriously do not know how people can eat 60 carbs or less a day! I'm just worried that carbs are high, so I've been trying to keep them under 300g a day (despite fruit being at least 30g/serving). At any rate, if anyone has any tips for anything, it'd be greatly appreciated. I also have to monitor protein levels too as too much of it will cause keytones to develop, and I don't want that :P

Thanks!

I don't see much wrong with that, and as for the fat% estimate, yes, given your pictures, that does look a little high.

Personally I wouldn't worry too much right now, it seems to be working.
