Is it O.K. to have a protein shake before Bed?

yea i agree i meant having whey with milk post workout if you wanted the milk. . .but to use water instead of milk if your going to do a protein shake before bed. . .

I'm always hesistant about Milk with Whey after workouts, because stimulating the extra Enzymes for the lactose, adding more Casein, calories and thickness, would slow the shake down.

The one trade off being the Lactose, helping spike Insulin, to drive Protein into muscles, but it's a small payoff.

haha i agree completely and never use milk, but i have talked to so many people who if it werent for the milk, they wouldnt take a protein shake at all because they cant stand the taste, texture, etc etc etc lol

They should experiment then, with things like Vanillia Essence, ground Ginger, ground Nutmeg, Cinnamon etc etc, and see if it helps at all, when using water.
