Stressed!!!
Sorry this is so long...but I have a lot to say! I'm a 23 yr. old female. 5'4 & fluctuate between 106-110 lbs. Just to let you know a little bit more about activity, I'm a RN, so I do share of walking. I've never really had to work out before, but now I wouldn't mind being more toned. I don't want to bulk up by any means. I'm primarily focusing on butt, thighs, abs. But I've also added a little bit in on triceps, biceps, calves. I've done research & asked different people for workout routines and what not. Basically what I've been doing so far: I work out M,W,F. I start out on an elliptical for about 25 min. every workout day. Then I pretty much do an all over workout using differ machines & exercises. Since I'm not trying to bulk up & I only work out 3 times a week does this sound good? I like doing cardio before other exercises because it gets adrenaline pumping & pretty much stretches whole body. I've discovered a lot of cool exercises on this website. So I figured I would switch up routine about every 4-6 weeks to prevent plateauing. Am I on the right track? If not can you please help me!
Firstly, don't apologise for writing what you wrote. You want to ask stuff and that's fine, so you mustn't worry about what you ask yeah

Yes, if you think the Cardio helps before the weights, then I don't see a problem with that. As long as you're able to get through the workouts, okay, by doing it that way, I don't think it will be a problem.
3 workouts a week with an all over style, is okay, but is usually for beginners, but you can always add a modicum of difficulty into it, by using some more advanced exercises here and there, to alter it.
You won't bulk up depending on your diet, but you can expect your muscle size to increase, but that doesn't mean you'll get big, but your muscle to fat ratio should b better for you.
I don't think you're doing anything wrong particularly. just make sure you kepe the smaller muscles at the end of the workout, as you need them to help you do exercises with the bigger ones.
Good luck
