Last laugh is on me! husband just measured me and he says I've been doing it all wrong! He's got me at 38/33/38.5, with Biceps (flexed) both 13, Calves both 14.5 and thighs R 22.5 L 22 - I just did body fat percentage with the new numbers and it matches the body composition I had done! So bottom line is I may not have lost much scale weight but I lost FAT!! Yeah!!
WELL DONE Holly. Yes you should be proud and your attitude and application are spot on, hence why you achieved what you did.
Good help and support are always great, but they dont get you end results. Only your responses to such things do that and you have definitely responded positively to everything you have had to do.
You can now go out an celebrate with a bottle of Champagne and some Cigars

Of course I'm joking. We don't give advice like that on here for real. Seriously people we don't

No champagne or cigars! Darn
Hey - how did everyone else do? Boopster - did you achieve the results you were looking for? Hope? Lilfox? Bill? <--who is Bill anyway?
As you all know I didn't feel I did well, but today I bought shorts in size 10!!!!!!!!!!! And there was plenty of room - they weren't skin tight. Yeah!!!! Six months ago I was wearing Size 18 -
I know, you're all probably saying they must've cost alot - you know those stores where if you pay enough the size gets smaller...nope, not this time!
:)
Okay - I'm off for that cigar now

As a reformed smoker, no cigars in life, nor would I ever recommend them - heathly and fit is middle name these days
I'm on third day off from working out
It appears I've hurt hamstring, I think I didn't keep the barbell close enough to me while doing dead lifts. That on top of hurting all over, and needing rest and repair in general. I'm still eating clean and have added taking additional supplements. I took an Oxidata test and failed indicating I have a high level of "free radical activity" in body. This imbalance could (has) lead to cell and tissue damage so starting today I am taking Phytonutrients (NanoGreens) and Mona Vie Active, an Anti-Oxidant Dietarty Supplement that contains all the Vitamins and minerals, a Dismuzyme (Superoxide Dismutase) and ProEFA (Omega-3 Fish Oil with Borage Oil
I've been told that soreness all over could be the result of too many Pro-Oxidants in system so hopefully the steps I'm taking will help.
Is there anything in particular I can do about hamstring or should I just wait it out - are there exercises , stretching in particular that could help, or would that only create more inflamation? I really miss workouts, but I'm trying to listen to body - that seems to be saying "Slow down"!
I'd appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks
Lu

stretching might only make it worse as that's how you probably hurt it...foam rolling might help it but just wait and wee how it goes
maybe a week of bodyweight stuff is in order to give your sore spots a chance to recover

I think I will take at least 1 more day off as I'm still feeling pain that makes me hesitate from resuming workouts. ART therapy sounds like what chiropractor is doing for rotator cuff - I'll ask him about shins and hamstring if it doesn't feel better soon.
In the mean time I'll bulk up on anti inflamatory foods as Boss Man suggests! I think taking the antioxidant supplements as well as Nano Greens and Mona Vie will help as well. Can't hurt!
I have to tell you it's scary - I love training and can't wait to get back to normal!
Thanks everyone! I want to get back on track soon!

Swanso - I think we need a reunion of sorts. Holly - where are you and what have you been doing? Miss your sunshine! How is everyone doing?
It seems I'm back on track with workouts, keeping Workout Journal fairly current. I still have some hamstring issues, but shoulder is just about normal, maybe one more trip to the chiroprator - yeah! I'm so excited about being able to do pull ups (with assist of course) but no longer at 20, but now at 16!!! I can't imagine doing them with no assistance, but then again I never thought I'd do any with anything less than full assist
I met 2 woman at gym who have hired a personal trainer who is providing them with workouts and nutrician, much like what Troy did - I might try him out - I'll be well ahead of the game as it appears the nutrician piece is exactly what we've all learned here - but I can still use some hands on help with workouts. These women look great and are very excited so he must be doing something right!

Don't apologise and don't promise things okay

GOOD LUCK to you, and no worries okay. Be strong and be PROUD of all you have done before and take solace in knowing, you CAN do this, and I am in no doubt you WILL do this, and keep on progressing.
You're a great person, so keep that chin up, and no being hard on yourself okay

Oh she's sticking to it alright...She's got Boopster on top of her sh**
She's knows she has to get back in the gym and will not quit. I won't let that happen. Holly has come too far and worked so hard. Summer is tough with kids being home from school and hers are younger than mine. I have no excuce, I have to get to teh gym, no matter what! But when you have little ones, they have to come first sometimes and you get in mommy mode for a while, only to realize, you need to care for yourself otherwise, mommy ain't no good. She's going tomorrow for sure;) Right Prezzzzzzzz?????
