Lost the weight, now time to gain the muscle.. HELP

Post by kavargas12 »

Hey!

Well i'm 20 years old 6'3"ish and around 202-205 LBS, for the past two years i have been really pushing the healthy eating and diet thing but now i want to add muscle. I don't know where to start? everyone tells me i need to start eating actual food now but, i guess i'm scared of getting overweight again.. I dont really have an issue with the physical part but i just dont know what to eat!

anyone have any simple diets for adding muscle?

thanks for your help :)

Most weightlifters I talk to usually either go through a bulking cycle or a cutting cycle.

So they are either taking in tons of calories (mostly the good kind high in protein, etc.) and bulking while they build muscle, or they've gained the muscle they want to and start cutting to reduce body fat.

I don't know much about 'recomposition' but I've heard it mentioned.

When bulking, no doubt you will lose definition and gain some fat if you are looking to make big strength and muscle gains, but you can always cut it back off afterwards.

Here's something on the caloric needs, too:

You could try slowly increasing your calories over maintenance.
