Muscle Gains/Losses from cardio!?!?!?!
Hi, i've been working out for about a year now, and although progress is slow I am making progress. The question i have is, I have a thin layer of fat over abs and want to get rid of it, but do not want to loss any muscle mass as i am still trying to gain muscle, and the muscle i have gained has taking alot of time and effort to achieve, what should I do, increase cardio? decrease calories? increase cardio and calories? or what?!?!?! please help.

I'd say diet is well balanced, complex carbs and high quality protein and whey, for cardio i do roughly 25mins of running 3 times a week, and for weights i do 3-4sets, 12 reps of a light weight, 10 with moderate and 8-10 of a heavy weight, then if i do a fourth set on more of the compound exercises i'll do another 8-10 reps with a heavy weight. how does this sound?
thanks for the help.

I believe the best way to gain "mass" is to do high weight low rep. Like 2-5 reps kind of deal. 3 Sets of 2-5 reps.Daywalker934 wrote:Is this the best way to gain muscle mass?
