Get a notebook and write down everything you eat for a day.

Then go on line and Google "calorie counter" and go to one of the sites that gives the calories for foods and adds them up for you.

Then tell us how many calories you are taking in during a day.

Remember to use the notebook. You will not be able to remember all that you have eaten without it.

Also note whether the foods are protein intensive or carbohydrate intensive, high in fat, or are just plain sugars.

When you have the information for a couple of days, let us know what you have found out.

To gain the six pack abs that you want you will want to get your calories down a bit, but more important you will want to maintain a high level of protein so that as you trim down you don't cannibalize your muscles as the fat disappears.

You will want to chose foods that are low in fat, and low in sugars and simple carbohydrates.

You will want to chose foods that are high in protein and complex carbohydrates.

It is good to learn which foods supply which nutrients now as it will serve you well over the years.
