One thing i have come across quite often in the training and dieting community is the ABSOLUTE IMPORTANCE of the mind, and training your mind.
Why? Tom Venuto stated that without first attending to and training your mind (affirmations, positive imaging, positive thoughts, written goals, etc) and retaining that sense of motivation (updated goals, weekly progress charts, group activities and support, etc), one would be SURE TO FAIL.
I really seem to be fighting a major battle in this matter, and im sure there are others out there that can relate to this problem.
So, i was wondering what techniques, and methods the trainers and / or others are practising in order to maintain this drive and mind set that keeps you returning to that gym and that weight lifting.
Any comments would be most interesting and helpful
I have inbuilt attitude deep into mind. You force yourself, you push yourself, until eventually, after several months, you feel it, and it stays in your blood and in your mind.
Plus coming on places like this, helps to keep the mind tuned, so you don't lose that mindset when you're not training.
one of the most rewarding things is when a client comes back from the weekend and says they felt guilty about not exercises so they ahd to do something...when you get to that that stage i think you've "got it"
