Help a 15 y/o out please.

Post by Kopap »

Alright. Here's the basic run down.

I'm 15, I'm a little out of shape. I'm kind of scrawny, you know. Skinny wrists, skinny arms, a bony chest, and shoulder blades stick out a bit (but I'm working on fixing that, go dumb bells, go!). I'm 120 pounds, and I feel like all of that weight is in legs.

I'm basically looking for some tips on a daily routine to help me gain some weightand put on some muscle. goal is to be nice and toned, not really overbuffed (if thats a word). I want a nice chest and nice arms like everyone else, :(

I own two 10 pound dumb bells, two 15 pounders, and two 20 pounders, but I have the resources to get more equipment. I used to use them, but now the spiders have turned them into their home.

I jog around the street every day, so I think I'm fine cardio wise.

I seriously appreciate any help you guys could give me.

BTW, does lifting stunt your growth?!

training - search your body is a barbell by alwyn cosgrove...you need to be able to handle your own bodyweight before adding external load in the form of db;s and such

eating - eat everything within reason so lots of meat, eggs, fish, diary, veggies, fruits...go to diet section and read read before posting for a lay out of sorts

no it doesn;t

Pushups!

http://www.break.com/usercontent/2007/3 ... 43118.html

Write some of these down that you like. Switch up the types of pushups you do every couple days. Do them until failure (can't do anymore for that set). Set a high goal for yourself on how many pushups you want to be able to do at one time.

You need to eat alot. and eat constantly every 2-3 hours. foods high in protein such as chicken, fish, lean red meats, dairy are all good. do some research and find a good program to start. Bill Starr's 5x5 is a good one to start with. you dont need to do any cardio, you need those calories to build the muscle!

Eat and Train. Make sure you get sufficient protein in your diet and healthy fats.
